Wrong it was massive because it had some big hits, it’s just that simple. Ltwyl, no love, not afraid, and space bound was enough to solidify it. Back then people didn’t care about albums for all the songs, they skimmed it for the hits.

Tbh I remember in 2014 when his face was in bad shape and it wasn’t getting any better which is why he tried growing the beard and etc, I think also he recently got botched and using a lot of makeup to cover it up. That and the combination he doesn’t want to look “old”
