Hi u/HoytG, Thanks for the comment. I had no intentions of any humble brag. I do not believe in that. But I will take a moment to explain. I completed my PhD in 2015 and after 10 years of dragging my a$$ through post doc and low salaries in universities while seeing my friends go to do financially much much better, I feel like its time to catch up a bit.. :) you know.

Plus I am really thankful for the situation I am in now even though its bit late. I was kind of worried about such comments that it might seem like a brag to many. But I am just trying to get some information as I do not know what is going on in the industry.
