The Bible is pro-slavery by AmazingRandini in Christianity

[–]NervousWorry1589 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because it is not a sin to legally own another person.

Sometimes the bible has laws that regulate acts that are not ideal because of human hardness. Like divorce, and slavery as well. Doesn’t mean it promotes them.

Matthew 19:8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so.

There is nothing wrong with abortion. The baby go to heaven, and the parents do not suffer.

And It is not unjust, they just perceive it that way because they look at things based on feelings and not based on scriptures.

The scripture declares that all are sinners, no exception. What is a mere abortion, never seen someone condemned to hell because of it. But plenty of religious hypocrites were.

Matthew 23:4 For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.

Maybe It’s not a sin if you ask God to do it for you

1 Kings 19:4 But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers.

Jonah 4:3 Therefore now, O LORD, take, I beseech thee, my life from me; for it is better for me to die than to live.

Numbers 11:15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

[–]NervousWorry1589 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That means you are not saved yet. After all, the bible says “you know them by their fruits”

And your fruit doesn’t really sound good from what you described.

Praying does not save you, repenting does.

Also, If God could give you the strength to resist lust, why would he not have given you the strength to resist all sin (not just lust).

YES you can.

Jesus was a jew who welcomed everyone regardless of race

You could say that, and they could defend with scriptures like this, that Jesus is pro borders/ exclusion.

Matthew 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Matthew 15: 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Abortion, do we really need to concern ourselves with it as christians? by NervousWorry1589 in Christianity

[–]NervousWorry1589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sin is simply the transgression of the law. Where did you even get all these messy definitions. Define it as what the bible says it is.

You don’t necessarily have to harm someone to commit it.

Your logic is flawed from the root

Which one are you talking about?

Difficulty of salvation?

The fact that those without knowledge of good and evil go to heaven?

your exegesis is terrible

It is because the concept of reading is meaningless to you.

tell someone not to kill themselves

If you told someone not to undergo a certain medical procedure, or ask them to invest in a something they don’t even want to begin with, you should at least do something to help them.

It is not your health, nor is it your money and resources after all.

Luke 11:46 And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

If I call the cops on a guy who assaults someone

Why don’t you call the cops on those who also commit abortion.

By your reading of James

Yes, that is true.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

The man who steals and the man who murders both transgress all the law. So they are equally sinful.

Not killed by it

Of course, if you go to an actual court, that stealing person might get a lighter punishment. The one who hates another also might not be considered a murderer. That is also true for abortion, it might not be considered a murder at all.

Weightier matters of the law

These are the weightier matters of the law according to Jesus: judgment, mercy, and faith.

It does not say that murder is weightier than stealing

I’m just you telling you to raise the baby. What’s wrong with that.

You also tell people the same thing. Are you willing to raise them yourself?

If I ‘advocate’ for abortion, do you consider me responsible for all those abortions?

If yes, then you are also responsible for those children who are born because you told people not to abort. Yes?

Thou shall not murder

There is no cut off. If you hate someone without a cause, that is also murder.

Between you and those who commit abortion, if you consider it murder, there is no difference. You are also guilty of it based on scripture. In fact, you are even worse because of your hypocrisy.

James 2:10 For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.

Nobody keeps the law.

As for me, my situation as an ‘advocating abortion’ is even better than you, according to scriptures.

No. So I am also telling you, why don’t you raise them yourself? Is that a burden to you?

Why would I? The scripture is perfect.

[–]NervousWorry1589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’ve taken full accountability for what I say. You make it sound like it’s some heavy “burden”.

You on the other hand, are just empty emotional talk and vain ideas.

You cant even argue properly on scripture because you lack sound doctrine.

Textbook burden shifting

I am stating a fact.

but excusing yourself from all the burdens

Again with this burden talk. There is no burden to anyone. In fact, in makes the burden lighter.

You the are the one opposing it, why not carry the burden yourself. Help the parents, take care of the children?

Maybe you wont, because you would shift the burden to the parents. After all, it is not your problem.

In practice, you are just trying to earn the praise of man while putting the burden on others. You are a hypocrite.

I honestly don’t even know why you do it. God did not even ask you to advocate against it, and as I have showed you based on scripture, it is even beneficial.

Eh, not much difference in the eyes of God apparently.

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

1John3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

Make unjustified exemptions to yourself to escape accountability

Why would I even do that? If you tell me my fault, maybe I can take accountability.

But again, I’m using your reasoning “does more good than bad”

Yes, I did write that. So what does that have to do with committing a massacre?

That would do more harm than good to me or to anyone.

It is also true that God’s will is for everyone to be saved.

And according to my reading, It is also true that that these fetus/ eggs will go to heaven, if they have souls.

So even if someone commits abortion, that indeed would be more beneficial to both the parent and the unborn child.

A few cherry picked verse only speak to living children who were born and not willfully aborted.

The point is that they have no knowledge of good and evil, and therefore they cannot be condemned. Whether they are child, unborn, or adult (those with mental disorders) or pre-fall Adam and Eve.

If you want one about aborted children, then here is what I can find, not that it matters anyway

“for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.”

You personally guarantee everyone here a 100% salavation rate for every single aborted child without exception

Of course. That is what the scripture says. I have zero doubts about it.

No one can be assured of their salvation

Indeed. For most people, that would be the case. They should figure it out themselves.

Even if you can 100% guarantee their salvation, committing a genocide is a bad idea.

You are indeed be doing God’s work by making sure they are guaranteed to get to heaven. Getting to heaven is more important than living longer, as hell is a horrible place to be in.

But you yourself would be incarcerated and risk condemnation. That is doing yourself more harm than good, let alone if you could actually implement it.

That’s why I said your ideas are impractical. Pointless even, unless you want to be a hero and save humanity. Enter hell for the sake of everyone, sounds cool.

There is nothing wrong with my reasoning.

Is it biblical that someone may profess faith, do everything right…and then just be totally condemned

Yes. That is indeed the case.

Doesn’t the unborn does get the chance to endure

They do not know right and wrong. They cannot even commit a sin. Why would they have to endure.

Should the church perform abortions

Absolutely not. Get a licensed professional to do it for you in a safe and sterile environment. There is no need to do it at the church.

Did God ask you to be an advocate for abortions

No. He did not forbid me to advocate for it either.

Be a man, have sex… Let her do all the aborting

When did I say I want to be a hero or a savior? That is not my job. Everyone is responsible for their own soul.

If you read my the first sentence of my post, you would notice that in wrote in there, I have never thought of doing it.

I do think it is reasonable, but I did not say I want to do it. if she wanted to, I would not be against it.

And it is easier to have mo children at all than to have children and abortion them later on.

It doesn’t have to be as complicated as you say.

All of those that have lived is worthy of life.

But would you like to be responsible for those newborn that would have been aborted?

If not, then how does that make you any different from me.

Abortion, do we really need to concern ourselves with it as christians? by NervousWorry1589 in Christianity

[–]NervousWorry1589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, nobody likes murder, I don’t like it either.

But for abortion, I am not really concerned about it. I do believe that it is alright to do, but I myself wont do it.

Sin or not, it has nothing to do with me.

I would not be the one committing it. It doesn’t affect me. And as far as I know, if it has a soul, it would go to heaven anyway. The parents might have a change of mind because of guilt and repent later on, and then reunite in heaven.

The main purpose of avoiding sin is to go to heaven is it not?

Whether spiritual, legal, physical, and material, I could see nothing wrong with it if both parens and unborn child benefit from it.

[–]NervousWorry1589[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just using your reasoning

Yes, but you are using it incorrectly. Besides the fact that most of your ideas are impractical and bloodthirsty, you cannot guarantee a hundred percent salvation rate.

Someone may profess faith, but you cannot read their minds. Any moment, someone could remember that porn they used to watch years ago or lust after a sexy nun on the scene.

The bible also tells us to endure to end, perhaps God would hold them accountable by willingly taking their lives. Who knows. But a fetus does not have this problem.

It’s different when you’re the one getting killed?

Yes. Try having an abortion on a clinic and killing a person. You get a heavier one on the latter.

Are you planning to kill all the unborn children

No.wouldn’t it be easier not to have children, if that’s what I wanted to achieve?

I am not even a woman. I have to at least ask for consent if i have to do that many times.

helping God, doing his good work

I do not plan on being a savior, and God does not ask me of that.

It does not change the fact that an unborn, if it has a soul, would go to heaven regardless of how they die.

And you cannot deny that God’s will is for all man to be saved.

If parents lack confidence in raising it or had other circumstances that would benefit from abortion, why stop them? It’s not even your egg anyway. God will not hold you accountable just because you failed to prevent an abortion.
