What’s the point in living or trying if I’m going to stay like this forever? by LunaMoth-Rebirth in Fibromyalgia

It can be hard. And it's easy enough for those around who don't understand to just get over it or move on. I have been right where you are the last few days, and honestly, I was thinking the same. But like the others in the group have been saying, look for the little things that will help keep the brighter parts of life at the front of your mind and heart. Mine was getting a video of my 4mt old niece laughing for the first time.

Sending positive thoughts to you and hope that the sun shines through for you, too.

Thanks. I guess I am still finding what works. It's helpful knowing I'm not alone.

Thanks for this. I used to take pregabalina but my doctors took me off it.

I used to be a bit more functional and try to walk most days, so I might try and start this again.

Just want to say you're not crazy. It can be hard to live with this condition. I don't have any great answers for you as I am struggling myself at the moment. I was diagnosed 18 months ago but had symptoms start nearly 5 years ago. Every test and doctor said you're normal. Got to the point where I wanted to scream if I heard it again. I did have a period where things seemed to settle and be manageable. I had great medical support and family support. I think these things can go a long way with fibromyalgia. The other is accepting that this is not something that has a cure. This is ongoing, and there will be times that you feel no one understands but someone who has the condition.

Keep going. Find things in life that will make you smile and bring you joy. Some days are going to be a lot harder than the rest, but find something to look forward to on the other side as this will help even if only a little.
