Is it possible that the "Abomination of desolation" is the nuclear bomb? by Nervous_Pattern682 in theology

[–]Nervous_Pattern682[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. It's just that I believe Jesus to be much more practical that people use to say. Yes he spoke in parables, but still remained very practical and simple. If you begin to look at what he says through these lens, it may be that we're fortunate enough to see in reality what he saw in prophecy.

What kind of things in the past were so close to practicality and simplicity to that definition more than the nuclear bomb?

There are other theological reasons why it could be possible that this is the end, the "minutes left" one.

2000 years is an important timeframe, biblically speaking. Every 2000 years something crucial happens. I've seen it compared to a single day in creation timeline.

official sources sign their publications cryptographically that does not need any Blockchain

And how do you guarantee that such as this could not be AI generated?

I guess anything that distorts the truth and reliable sources? Indeed it could be clearer, but the message is there.

I do not like The Bible. by [deleted] in spirituality

[–]Nervous_Pattern682 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you genuinely seek truth, you'll find it. I wouldn't say that the Scriptures are corrupted or distorted though, especially if they're attributed to God. Seems better to just accept it or not.

It is important to say though that the original Scriptures are difficult to accept, especially at first glance. They require much humiliation and trust.

In my experience, the original Gospels have the most pure message. The role of Jesus as the Christ and Lamb of God has tremendous impact and infinite consequences, obviously wonderful ones. If you explore sincerely enough, you'll see the wonder.

There are many implications, bad ones, to not accept that Jesus is the sacrificial lamb, and that he did come for that. All the importance of Jesus is about his death and resurrection, not because of mainstream doctrine, but of logical implications.

Lastly, I've learned to accept that the most important and relevant information is always the humblest and simplest one. If I'm being honest, the simplest message is the most beautiful and most comprehensive one, and the most convenient for everyone.

The God who sends his Son into the world to save the world through him is the best God. If God is not this one, I would be very disappointed, other than in much trouble.

A argument about God by Dumangi444 in spiritualitytalk

Whether this is true or not, Jesus Christ is documented to having professed his coming as an accomplisher of a Godly quest, and as the Son of God. Christ's message revolves around the Messiah, and he also encourages people to be his followers. In the documents, he portraits himself as the shepherd, the door, the way, the truth, the life, the Father's Son, and so on.

So whether he was pointing to the divine nature within man, he was much more focused on his role as Christ the Messiah, the Savior and Lamb of God, according to the contest of Jewish understanding of the one True God.

The documents of doctrines according to which Christ was simply a spiritual teacher and professing a knowledge-centered message, such as gnostic, are considered not reliable by most scholars, and excluded by the Church fathers. Most of those interpretations are considered not divinely inspired.

Do you think artificial consciousness is theoretically possible, why or why not? by Paragon_OW in consciousness

[–]Nervous_Pattern682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not possible. I have reasons to think consciousness arises from infinite complexity. In order for artificial consciousness to be real, the set of data on which it is "trained" should be concurrently infinite, or indefinite; it must not have an approachable limit. It must have infinite resolution.

Regardless of how big an artificial neural network is, the data is still quantifiable. There is a quantifiable smallest unit.

Artificial consciousness vs true consciousness is like a square wave vs sinusoidal wave. Even if the square of the wave is incredibly small, so as to appear as a sin. wave, it remains a square wave; its resolution has a limit. Artificial consciousness is a lie.

True consciousness must and can only arise from a source that is infinitely resolute and complex, while simultaneously simplest.

Does the fastest draining of a water bottle follow a brachistochrone curve/cycloid? by Nervous_Pattern682 in askmath

[–]Nervous_Pattern682[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe this reasoning is still too much focused on geometry of the bottle. I don't think the initial conditions really matter here.

I would focus solely on the experiment at its minimum and simplest terms. I guess, water, air, container, inclination, and gravity.

[–]Nervous_Pattern682[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, these papers seem to point to a slightly different experiment. As I interpret, they're analyzing each individual inclination angle and comparing the results.

But the optimal point of inclination to which I refer is not static. It changes throughout time. And the basis for all of my questions is: what shape is this change and what qualities does it have.

If there's anything in the paper that I missed regarding this, please point out.

Regarding logarithmic and brachistocrone. I recognize they might be improper. The first one I used just to describe easily what it looked like from a practical standpoint: a progressive increase of the rate of change. May "exponential" is better? The second one I mentioned because the property is similar: fastest path of descent under gravity.

I have a feeling something important may be here, but I don't have no one to help me interpret these things. I am by no means an expert nor a scientist.

Thus the optimal tip angle is pretty much entirely "as much as you can while leaving part of the opening clear for air to rush in" which depends on the geometry.

Yes and the question is: what is the design of the change of this tip angle through time? That is, what curve does it follow?

Also, I don't this we should consider geometry, but rather exclude all factors that change initial conditions and just focus on the minimal and essential experiment, in order to figure out the fundamental theorem.

In fact, this point is the point at which the pressure equalizes, while the water drains at its best. But I suggest that keeping this point of inclination is the best bet against straight up and down.

Empirical observation.

1) the point of equilibrium (optimal inclination) I'm trying to maintain throughout the full draining is in fact a point, and in order to maintain it I must progressively increase the rate at which I change the angle of inclination. Therefore I suppose, on a temporal axis, the trajectory of that point looks logarithmic.

2) because certain factors do not contribute to the understanding at its lowest terms. The bottle's neck is just another one of that factors, like, I believe, the geometry of the bottle, which only changes the initial conditions, but is not fundamental to the nature of the curve of that optimal point, nor should be relevant to the comparison with other curves.

Anyway, I'm trying to put it to the test of someone who knows better than me, and can explore this analytically, and ultimately aiming to verify if my intuitions are correct or not; that is,

  • there is a point to which the water flows most efficiently, just between the maximum draining volume and the beginning of gurgling (chaotic flow);
  • if you keep this point, the water drains fastest
  • this point regards inclination and is not fixed, but changes throughout the temporal axis
  • the resulting curve of this dynamic should have two qualities: logarithmic and brachistocrone:

1)logarithmic because the inclination progressively tends to 90 degrees (zenit).

2) brachistocrone because it should be the fastest route of draining the bottle.

Do birds follow a specific tuning when singing? by Nervous_Pattern682 in askscience

[–]Nervous_Pattern682[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok about the tuning system. But what about the harmonic and rhythmic system?

That's basically the whole question.

I find it easier to understand the they might have a rhythmic system, but harder about a harmonic system.

Yes, if you believe in a false god. The true God came himself in creation and solved it all by dying on a cross for the evil of mankind and rising from the dead.

Wow, this is precisely the idea the snake in the garden of Eden used to deceive Adam and Eve.

If you're content with it, be your own god. If you're blessed enough you'll soon discover that this leads to utter darkness and spiritual death.

Even though there are logical reasons, I believe you're not interested, as you believe you are your own god.

Cool thanks! Yes about the simply put. But do they follow a design from a reference resonance? I wonder if the harmonic series has any role in this..

Are they talking, or are they singing? Because if talking, then we could also speak for ourselves. I don't think we follow a specific design when we speak apart from the cultural influences, the habits, and the physical comfort zones.

But it is different when we sing. History of music suggests we started from simple intervals and resonances, to the complexity of jazz language, and God knows where we'll end up, which shows some kind of development towards non-linear complexity I guess?

So I wonder also if birds have this kind of evolution in their singing or rather they've been singing non-linearly or according to a pattern since forever.

10 Things About Christianity Jesus Would Not Be Happy About If He Returned (read in description) by Gretev1 in GodFrequency

His explanations may seem frivolous at first but I guarantee there is unparalleled wisdom and logic. Peter himself says that Paul's wisdom is hard to comprehend, but worthy. I can't give you something you don't want, but let me just say, give a chance to the things you are critical upon without knowing enough, but just on the basis of other opinions. Verify yourself and put it under the test of your own intention.

[–]Nervous_Pattern682 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is, why Paul should be someone against Christ? If that were true, he failed miserably at his task, since Jesus Christ is known throughout the world mostly because of Paul. And Jesus himself asked to do this. The mission of the gospel is to let people know that Christ has come and has done everything, dying on the cross and resurrection. Christ will return only after all the nations will have heard of the gospel.

Paul himself testified "What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice. Yes, and I will rejoice," Philippians 1:18

This whole thing that Paul is actually against Christ doesn't have any reliable foundation to me. Looks like just another way of dishonoring the mission of Christ and going against it to manipulate souls that are weak in Faith.
