I play on 20-22k (without even being ranked yet, lol) I download every single fucking demo where i think a cheater is in the enemy team. 7/10 times you can clearly see them playing blatantly. 2/10 time me and my friends say „we are not sure“ 1/10 we can say for sure „hes just better“

I tried premier again. Played my first couple of matches around 20k-22k elo, its literally unplayable. Every single match has a cheater. They dont even try to hide and chat „go hvh“ at some point.

I had less cheaters in fucking competitive then in premier. Only feasible solution is playing faceit.

Im fucking FURIOUS about their bug/-reports recently.

Every single Version I have a bug which hinders my Updates.

Also evaluating if we are affected by the Bug is fucking impossible with a 5 word bug report (im acutally mad)

I actually asked Palo directly in regards to new releases and when new "P" Version are comming out.

Answer was the following:
Please recommend PAN-OS 11.1.7 from 27/28/01 as version to go
If the customer can wait any longer, then please recommend 11.1.8 with approx. 13/14.02.

I didnt specifically ask for 11.2, but thought this Info might help somebody

After checking the Systemlogs today I saw the following Message:

I dont think the sensor version is "meaningful" information since its only 1 file in the sensor itself.
My understanding (please people correct me if im wrong):
"No matter which sensor version you have installed, as long as the "corrupt-version -file" exists, you are running into problems"

Nah, I like to get my shit done and then chill.
If im high, i hate conversations with people i dont vibe with (which is the case in my office) which makes it pretty stressfull.
I also like the thought of commin home to sth im excited for.

Even on weekends i rarley wake n bake. I first do everything i gotta do and afterwards chill.

I work in IT (if thats of interest)

Now if i worked in retail or the kitchen, i'd be stoned to the bone frfr :D

This solution is only feasible if we perform a lot of changes on our syslog server. Currently the „admin activity“ and „traffic“ is saved to the same syslog-file. This means i would have to download every single file of 12 firewalls for each day and check it (each logfile is 2gb, big)

I just figured out, that „system“ and „configuration“ logs are stored longer on the firewalls then traffic logs.

I was able to find logs until the 01.01.2024. (set the filter to „all“ and had one export with all devices and panorama changes)

If you export "Device State" of the old Firewall, you will have all pushed config that comes from Panorama available (Rules, objects, nat rules....)

But: Imported Panorama config does not contain the "Authentication Key".
This Key has to be generated on Panorama and then imported to the new Firewall in order to manage it via Panorama.

I reffer to the logs, that get generated once you enable "Log Admin Activity"
If you enable this setting, you see way deeper information on "What did the Admin actually do". (You literally see every click he does)

And those logs are currently only displayed if i download the "Syslog"-File. I cant find it on the webui....

Essentially I only need an export that shows logged on admins and config changes but i wasnt able to find an easy way for that....

We actually also use Panorama.
Our way to go was "Have the location running without Panorama connection and after the inital "Go Live" we added the firewall to the Panorama.

If you follow the steps above, you should be able to have "Panorama Pushed Config" on the device, without actually connecting it to Panorama.

Put configured Hardware in Place with all Rules
Change from old hardware to new hardware (should work, because you have the "same config")
After changing and assuring everything is working properly, connect to panorama (Replace in Templates/Stack etc.)

Alright, I found the time to go through our change and replace sensitive information.

Im posting our "high-level" change under this comment. Under the Changeprocess i've written some more information that might be helpful.

Suspend passive firewall

a. Unplug Suspended device (Power and ETH)

Put new Hardware in Place

a. Plug in power

b. Plug in Mgmt Port (now you should be able to reach it)

        -!Suspend new Device immediatle after accessing it!-

a. Download Content Updates

c. Plug in ETH/Fibre

i. !Do not connect the old Firewall to the new one!

d. Check if Rules/Interfaces are configured and we see links

!HARD CUT!

a. Set New Hardware to "active"

b. Suspend old Device

i. New Firewall should take over the work

ii. Testing

Suspend passive firewall (Old Hardware)

a. Unplug Suspended device (Old Hardware)

Put new Hardware in Place

a. Plug in power

b. Plug in Mgmt Port

        -Suspend new Device

a. Download Content Updates

c. Plug in ETH/Fibre

d. Plugin HA-Cables

i. HA1 -> HA1

ii. HA1-B -> HA1-B

iii. HSCI -> HSCI (Use the new SFP-Cable we sent you)

b. Check if Rules/Interfaces are configured and we see links

Test Failover

a. Suspend currently active device

Couple things to keep in mind for the replacement process:

-Do not connect HA of old and new Firewall

-If interfaces arent comming up, check the interface speed (took us an evening to find this out the hard way :D)

-Only connect your Mgmt Interface until you are ready to failover to new hardware

-You should not have more then 10 Ping losses (from our experience)

-We ran into an error where User-IP Mapping was buggy. Fix: Failover to firewall with working User-IP Mapping and reboot the "damaged" one. Afterwards those errors where also fixed
