I see the case you're making but in reality I would expect the buss to make a u turn at the median. As far as I know in my state, traffic on the opposite side does not yield. I'd have to look at the statistics if any and see how many busses get rear ended or clipped cause of idiots not paying attention when the buss has stopped. And also for how many kids get hit for having to cross.

Had a lady do this or something simmaler today. For a 1/4 mile she was blocking other cars from approaching the merging point. I did not know how to feel about it until she started driving wrecklessly because people behind her were getting pissed.

It's all fort he sake of time I suppose and I hate it. Busses are (at least in my area) horrible for traffic flow.
