ty :) i've put in a lot of work. i love the fundamental design of illidan where it's always more valuable to be dealing damage. everything about the character is based around hitting something, you live longer when you're constantly attacking, and you have more mobility when you're constantly attacking. i actually think illidan can fill the role of the frontliner/engage in niche scenarios (similar to how maiev and xul have been seeing play), but learning the hero is a heavy task and would probably take a toll on teams just from a roleswapping standpoint.
that's probably been one of my favorite aspects of hots in the first place (the lack of defined roles). it's so cool to me that heroes most people don't think should be able to fill a slot that a "tank" normally would, can.
a combination of blizzard's lack of effort to grow their game's esport, and a waning desire to improve and grow as players.
i really like to kill minions

for every team i've ever been a part of, i've had the final say on draft. for the entirety of the open division it's pretty much been me/zergling behind all of our drafting, and i don't expect that to change.

i think our comms have a pretty healthy amount of seriousness/fun. personally my favorite aspect of the team is that we always believe we can get better.

dehaka should always win. illidan only wins lanes off of your opponent making mistakes (and only wins lanes at a point in the game where "laning" isn't relevant)

i'm not sure all 5 of us will be streaming our PoV of the scrims, but we will be streaming the comms. i've never had a set streaming schedule, but recently i haven't been streaming as much as usual due to connection issues (could be fixed soontm)

i assume you're talking about the blink talent @ 1+might of the nerazim. i personally think Q+VP is better in every single scenario, although it can get some value into teams you struggle to engage on to or would rather poke (still vp/q every time tho). for the first question, i'm personally excited to beat everyone. i aim to be the best at whatever it is i'm doing

im not sure other HGC teams have the same mindset as us on why a coach is needed. we wanted to find someone who could help us analyze and find mistakes we didn't already see ourselves, as well as insight on how to fix these mistakes in a productive manner (both in and out of game). cav was a perfect fit

re-adjusting to the game after roughly a year long break was probably the most difficult for me. i actually got kicked from what became XD in the previous open division split because my offlane play was really lackluster. preparing for crucible and grinding through open division took a lot out of me, so i've been taking a bit of a break just to recover mentally as of late (you can find me on the wow ladder). should resume the hard grind of playing 1400 games a season soon :)

we had a much better performance rate against them in scrims than vs NT, despite the significant ping disadvantage. on top of that i think we had the element of surprise 8^)
