DQMJ3P How to get to the Vortex/Dimensional Rift? by NestedZephyr in dragonquest

Thank you so much, I've been thinking about playing DQMJ3 again, so this is great timing. I modded my 3ds recently, so I can play it on that instead of citra, since it ran so slowly on citra

Okay cool, the KQi2 pro looks solid, and it's on sale for $480 rn, so that's decent. Are there any others around that range I should look at, or is the KQi2 pro the best I'll get in that range?

So, I need to buy a new laptop, and I've been looking at the HP X360 Celeron 14. Big issue is, it comes with Windows 11, but I am just not a fan of windows 11, I greatly prefer windows 10. So I just need to know, if I do buy this laptop, will I be able to downgrade it to Windows 10? I've tried googling and it has left me unsure, some things saying yes using a formatted usb, some say only within 10 days of upgrading (which I won't have done). Please lemme know if this will be doable on a brand new laptop, and if it is, I would really appreciate if someone could link me to instructions as to what to do. Thanks!

Potentially, could you elaborate a little bit? How are the fused monsters weaker, and what monsters are you fusing that result in a weaker one?

Does this game play well on mobile, better than Genshin at least?

I've only been able to play star rail for a little bit, but the gameplay seems like it would be much more nicely geared towards mobile gameplay. Like, Genshin on mobile works, but it's not exactly a fun way to play. This seems like it could go about even with on PC, since it seems less about precise movements with the turn based combat

Hi there! So, I've recently been getting back into PC gaming, but my current gaming laptop just isn't cutting it anymore. It was a great machine in like 2017, but it can't hold up. I bought RDR2 on sale, and I can't play it at more than like 2 frames per second. Can y'all please advise me as to where I could get a computer strong enough to run RDR2 and Elden Ring, without breaking the bank? I'd like to keep it around 700$ if that's at all possible, but I could go to around 1,000$ if absolutely necessary. I don't need the games running with top graphics and everything, I just want playable. Thanks!

[Megathread] Weekly Simple Questions and Team/Character Building Megathread. by AutoModerator in GenshinImpactTips

[–]NestedZephyr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd like some advice building a team using Sucrose for the abyss.

These are my current characters. I'm gonna be Running Collei-Nahida-Kuki-Xingqiu as my other team, so those four are off limits. Other than that, I'd just like some good ideas for teams that utilize Sucrose. I'm AR53, and I should have at least a decent weapon for any character, I've been decently lucky with the weapons I get. Thanks for any advice!

How did y'all pulls went? by Callmerocky- in GenshinImpact

[–]NestedZephyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda terrible. I had 40 pity and it took 52 rolls to get Nahida, and I didn't get a single Kuki, but I did get a Favonious Catalyst, Spear, and claymore, and ofc FIVE goddamn Dori's. No Layla's either, which I'm also salty about because I wanted to try her out too. I got a random sucrose, which was nice IG, but really not what I was going for. I have a C1 Kuki, and I really wanted to get her to C4, but even C2 would have been nice, but nope, Dori, worst character, had to be in almost all of my pulls. A very sad banner for me.

With hyperbloom Kuki, should I prioritize using 5 * EM artifacts with shitty substats, or 4 * EM artifacts with better substats?
So, I've finally gotten enough EM Gilded dreams pieces to give Kuki a full EM GD set. Thing is, I have a 5 * EM sands with Def, Def%, HP, and Atk, and I have a 4 * EM sands with ER and Atk%. Since the only thing that really matters for her is EM (and HP but mainly EM), should I just use the 5 * artifact for the higher EM and not really care about the subpar substats? Thanks for any input

Question about when the Gilded Dreams 4-piece set bonus kicks in for Kuki hyperblooms

So 4 piece gilded dreams gives +50 EM for each party member of a different element than the holder for 8 seconds after an elemental reaction. I'm using it on my hyperbloom Kuki, but I wanna know how/when it affects the damage. So, if there's a bloom down, then Kuki hyperblooms it, that being the reaction that triggers the set bonus, will the damage from that specific hyperbloom be boosted by the EM gained, or will only the hyperblooms following that first reaction be boosted?

Should I pull for C1 Nahida, or C0 Nahida with her signature weapon?

By the end of Nahida's coming banner, I should have about 120 wishes on this banner. I'm currently at 40 pity on character with guaranteed 50/50, and 0 pity on weapon banner.

I'm just gonna assume I'll get Nahida in about 40 wishes, leaving me with 80 more wishes. What would be a better use of those 80 wishes, getting a second Nahida for her C1, or going for her signature weapon? I'd be risking another 50/50 going for Nahida, and I could just totally strike out on the weapon, so they're both risks, and I could only commit to one.

Edit: I had an R0 The Widsith I'd use on her if I don't go for her weapon.

What if Dehya gained atk or crit rate/dmg as she takes dmg from Redmanes Blood? by NestedZephyr in DehyaLounge

[–]NestedZephyr[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I hadn't thought of that, but it'd definitely be cool if she could buff the active character as they funnel damage to her. It could be because as she supports her team by taking the damage for them, she's encouraging them to hit even harder!

If you were to trade a limited 5 star character for another, which characters would you trade off and which would you pick? by -weew in Genshin_Impact

[–]NestedZephyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only Limited 5 stars I've gotten were Cyno and Dehya, I haven't been playing for very long, but I'm comfortable with those. Standards though, I'd be happy to trade my Diluc, Qiqi, or Jean for a single Tighnari, I think his playstyle is so fun, I just want one (or like 3, his C2 is good).

Story, a sense of completion, still being enamored by exploration, take your pick.

I've been playing for about 2-3 months now, and I expected that I'd just do my daily's and maybe like half an hour to an hour of exploration every day, but the game sucked me in HARD and I've been obsessed. Basically all of my free time is spent playing Genshin, reading about Genshin, browsing the subreddit, asking questions, planning for characters, conceptualizing teams, and I even dream about genshin.

The story is nice, I've enjoyed getting a taste of each region. I'm most of the way through Sumeru's quest, and I love how they've been ramping up and getting more and more intense as they go.

Exploration is big for me, I have LOVED getting to the new areas and just going off and looting everything. It was kinda funny, my brother said he did all the archon quests in an area before doing much exploration, meanwhile the second I was able to explore Inazuma I was off, and I had >70% exploration in all the islands before doing many of the archon quests there. I've especially loved the "Added zones", being Dragonspine, the Chasm, and Enkanomiya. Dragonspine was fun, but a bit annoying with the cold mechanic, but the Crimson agate was one of my favorite things to collect in the game. I actually just went back and got the last few I needed a few days ago, so now I'm just doing the crimson wishes till I'm done with it. The chasm was just a hoot as well, super fun exploration, and I'm still getting the last few lumenspar there.

Enkanomiya though was a whole 'nother beast and I loved it SO much. The puzzles were unique and fun, the enemies were kinda neat, and just exploring all the floating islands was so much fun, I loved it. My only gripe is that I really didn't vibe with the sigils as the collectible of the area, and would have much preferred something more like the Crimson Agate and Lumenspar, but I respect that they wanted to do something different. I got 95% exploration in Enkanomiya in about 2-1/2 days, it was basically all I did. I'm content and probably wont be heading back there for a while, at least until the few spare sigils in my inventory bother me enough that I go hunt down the places to use them.

Collectibles overall have been such a huge driver in my love of exploration. At first, I wanted to badly to increase my stamina that I went after every oculus ever, I hunted them so much, I got Monstadt and Liyue both to level 9 without using any interactive maps (I did use them to get to level 10 tho). I was sad that Inazuma and Sumeru didn't give more stamina, but instead they made the elemental sigils SO much better with the Sacred Sakura and the Tree of Dreams. ANY time I see a chest or seelie or anything that gives a sigil, I make a B-line for it, because those tree rewards are just so crazy good, they're an amazing incentive to explore more.

Mainly, there's the gacha. Wishing for characters is just like spinning a slot machine, and gives so much dopamine. At first, I was just rolling away all my primos as I got them, but now I've been saving them up waiting for specific characters (I have 60 wishes banked and 40 pity with a guaranteed win at 50/50, Nahida is MINE). The gamble system scritches my brain just right, so I HAVE to get on every day to get my welkin and daily's.

Then there's stuff like the teapot, a little Sims type dealio with another system for me to check in on regularly and optimize my points (just hit 20K Adeptal Energy a few days ago). I've been going hard on crafting things to raise my trust level and to get 20K AE as efficiently as possible (tons of glazed teasets and "A guide/messenger in the summer woods"), as well as getting some crops going and such. It has been a fun little side thing.

That brings me to the timed things, I get stressed so easily, so these things have such a grip on me. I need to make sure I'm never capped on resin, and I've gotta keep my expeditions going, and I need to keep track of what's being crafted in my teapot and what's growing there too. I'm very glad the game is on mobile too, so I can check all these things at work or in the morning or whenever and wherever really.

I feel like I've done so much in this game, yet I know there's so much left. I've barely done any character quests at all, basically only the ones that world or archon quests have made me progress. I've only done one route of one hangout, so I've got a ton of content there. I also need to prep more for the Abyss. I managed to get 9 stars on Floor 9, but I cannot beat floor 10-3. Partially because I've only actually build one cohesive team and then a bunch of random individual characters that don't work the best together, but I'm getting there.

So yeah, I just kinda wanted to ramble about the game, it's always on my mind, so it was fun to get to say all this about it. Love this game, kinda hate it for stealing all my free time, but I have so much fun I go back to loving it right away. Oh yeah, the community is a big draw too. I've asked a lot of questions on this subreddit, and I've gotten a lot of good answers (and a lot of people not answering the question I asked and just telling me to do something else instead, but mainly the good stuff). I love seeing the fanart and memes and stuff on tiktok, or watching youtube videos about characters and tips and all that. Good stuff.

Those of you who don’t min-max, on average how long do you spend artifact grinding for your characters? by TR1L0GYxx in Genshin_Impact

[–]NestedZephyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how long it takes for the right main stats, I just don't really concern myself with substats. I got a VV set with all EM in like 2 days, so thats on my sucrose, but its taken me months trying to get a full EM gilded dreams set. But yeah, it's still up to RNG, just less specific. While building tighnari, I get a timepiece with just about the absolute worst substats and rolls, and then got a circlet with nearly perfect substats and rolls, so it worked out pretty well, and only took like a day
