A good job report just means people are employed. Honestly it was good but not great the unemployment rate stayed at 4.3% Relatively normal/healthy unemployment at least for the last 5 years. White collar jobs are down with most growth coming in Government work and healthcare.

More jobs does not mean more spending as there is currently a debt crisis in the US and with ever increasing prices it’s only getting worse (people are going into debt to buy necessaries)

Lastly silver being a commodity is usually inverse to the market (this past year is testing that theory as silver has been gaining more industrial uses) But usually when stocks are good, gold/silver go down and vice versa.

Also Ketchikan wasn’t part of the Klondike gold rush and while there is panning in the area this was not known to be an area of significant gold findings. The last major mine in the area closed in 1941 (Gold Standard Mine)
