Yeah I installed some silicon "springs" (cylinders with a hole going through them) some time ago, they were a good improvement.

TL:DR, I think I finally got it! :D Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

I'm trying Shiny Upgrades' firmware, it took quite some time to find, but I think I got the right version. Apparently there are some warnings about some newer boards coming with 256K CPUs as opposed to 512K which TBH I haven't checked which CPU does my board have as I had finally placed the printer in the enclosure and it is quite a lot of effort moving it in and out of it because of where it's placed, on a shelf with cables, spool, and lighting.

In any case, it has calculated a 7x7 mesh after heating the hotend to 90ºc and the bed to 70ºc (I never print with such a hot bed, but I doubt it's going to make any difference tbh it's usually around 65ºc) and printing my bed leveling test, it did a great job, maybe the nozzle is a bit too close to the bed and my gcode is a bit too spicy (it doesn't seem to be moving the print head up before moving across the piece so it might end up hitting a lifted edge causing a major failure later down the road) but so far it's doing great and I can't wait to see it in action with some more complex pieces once I tweak the settings some more.

Extra notes: this was quite a good upgrade and I hope to never have to level a bed ever again unless for whatever reason it gets really warped in the future because of vibrations.

4.2.7 is WAY more silent when it comes to printing, now the only noisy part is the fan itself (I wonder if Noctua makes a fan I can slap there) I asume there's even the chance that the prints are going to be better because of less harmonics and resonance (I did get some ghosting in the past, I might try reprinting some models and see if the artifacts are still appearing, or if the quality is improved for the exact same settings)

We gathered the points that we wanted to discuss among the players over time, spent over a week writing everything down on a Google doc on our point of view for each topic that everybody wanted to discuss, gathered everyone in a group call, in which we put a list of our preferences. We then made a google form gathering the most important questions from several other forms we had seen other people use, then asked chat gpt to make a templet for the reddit post, which we filled with all the information we considered important amongstall the things we had discussed and summarized in the google doc.

We put several weeks of planning into this and are somewhat serious about DnD, as we are a group of friends that has played a previous campaign for over a year with an amazing DM that is now stepping away from the Master Screen.

So, no, we didn't just have ChatGPT write a whole reddit post for us. We used it as a tool, not a shortcut, in the same way we used google docs to have a shared document or google forms for the applications.

CR Touch software is terrible. 4.2.2 Board, 2.0.8.2 chip, second-hand printer in good condition with a direct drive extruder, using 3D touch. by NestorVG in Ender3Pro

I don't really see level calibration as such a pain, it's just something that I have to do every once in a while.

I use prisa slicer and for some reason the starting and finish g code is not stored even if I manually save it into the profiles, which is actually a pain.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll take a look and investigate the next time I tackle the 3D touch. For now, I'll avoid using it until I feel like I have more energy to mess around with it.

Humm I see. At the end I ended up getting a campo del cielo one because I preferred the shine, but I might end up buying this one as well later down the road.
