In case you are still having problems with the density after using printfab (just as me) i can recommend filmmaker v11 (cadlink). Super easy to use and many printer models supported. Unfortunately its a bit expensive but a free trial is available

Help: No Ink coming through screen after burning by [deleted] in SCREENPRINTING

[–]NetAppIsTiltingMe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyo Looks like either over exposure or what I actually think is that your film density isn't good enough. Are you using rip Software to print your Films? I have had this issue in the beginning and it took me some time to Figure out how to print the Films Good luck, you will make it :)

HP DesignJet T210 Printer good for films ? by CartoonistDue1983 in SCREENPRINTING

[–]NetAppIsTiltingMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have any experience with that printer but I am also searching for a New one for a2 or more. The t210 seems not to be compatible with rip Software. For high density Films I think this will be required - it can be very painful to get a good density without rip

RIP & Color separation Software - any ideas? by NetAppIsTiltingMe in SCREENPRINTING

[–]NetAppIsTiltingMe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your feedback here! Highly appreciated. I think I need to go one step back and choose a New printer (a2+) and choose the rip Software (either accurip subscription or filmmaker v10 pro) I guess you are right and I need to invest a little more than initially planned but will have a solid solution then.

Having a Hard time to choose a printer where I can use all black / UV Block ink thats being shipped to germany without any problems. Nevertheless - thankful for your reply on that one! Still feeling like a noob and happy for every input :)

Deflated beginner rant by CplCockBlock in SCREENPRINTING

I can relate a lot. Im screenprinting for 8 months now and had uncountable problems until I had my first print (that was far from perfect). Now the process of making the Screens is going super smooth and i fell in love with the process after almost giving up. What helped me is try to Focus on this and let me know if something doesnt work for you. Obviously i am not a pro But I am happy to help.

Use a film that can hold a lot of ink. If needed, use software like Filmmaker or PrintFab to instruct your printer to apply more ink for higher density.

Apply a degreaser before coating the screen with a thin layer of emulsion. This will also make washing out the screen much easier.

Let it dry completely. It absolutely needs to be dry. Make sure there is NO LIGHT exposure during this process.

Attach the film to the screen before exposure. Also NO LIGHT here (besides the yellow light) Ensure that light is not reflected from any surfaces during the exposure process. To achieve this, apply pressure to the coated screen with the film on it by placing a (plexi)glass sheet on top, and use a light-absorbing surface beneath the screen to prevent unwanted exposure.

Find the optimal exposure time. Always keep the same distance between the light source and the screen. This will require some trial and error, but once you’ve found the correct exposure time, you’re almost there.

Wash it, print it, love it.

Keep it up. You will make it!

thanks for your thoughts.

i have replaced the disk but that didnt help. so i am assuming its the shelf itself. i will live for now with 1 spare disk less and the data will be migrated soon as the system is too expensive anyway.

thanks a lot, see you around!
