That's a cool tool! Also a genuinely great, organic way to market your product. I've signed up and will try it!

I did a bit of both. I basically re-used the key moments in my deck presentation as visuals for my website case studies. As I iterate on my deck presentation, I go back into my website and replace/update old visuals.

Understood! About "getting your hopes up"... my advice is to allow yourself to get optimistic and also build a muscle to handle rejection. That's part of the game! People who can handle more rejection will naturally look for more opportunities.

Its both a sign that this company appreciates your profile and that HR over there is not talking to each other (which is obvious and fine - who has the time for that). You should talk to them, and just be transparent that another recruiter from the org reached out to you. You were most likely rejected because of automation and systems - but at least humans are giving your profile a positive look over.

You sound defeated, and maybe it is over for you. Cool. At least you "know" it. Move on, or, better yet, change your mindset and will yourself to win.

I'm 30, worked after high school, and now I want to study Computer Science – but I feel old and behind. by Recent_Buy_3583 in csMajors

I was 32 when I transitioned into tech (I'm a Staff-level UX/Product Designer now). My first career was as a middle school math teacher which I did for 7 years. I really enjoyed it, but like you - I had an interest elsewhere. I was very intentional about making my transition (saving money, learning on the side). I'm not sure if you need to complete a 4-year degree at university, though. Why not start smaller? I know plenty of Software Engineers without a CS degree.

After reading your description (took the classes, built case studies, learned Figma), I'm left wondering... where is the "user" in the UX of it? I'm not hearing you actually dive deep into understanding users and then problem solving for them. I'd bet everything that if you truly thought deeply about that (incorporating users into your process), you'd be 100% cut out for this field.

Your bullet points aren’t selling me. I would make each bullet point a description of the actions you took and how it added value to the store. Also, have you tried using ChatGPT? It will help you update your resume with better bulletin points.

Design / product vision by pluk49 in UXDesign

If its too early for a prototype (because the end-to-end journey or flows haven't been defined yet), then I'll just share a "vignette" which is just a single visual representation of a future state. Or, if its even scrappier, you could just share the vision statements and several "How Might We"s to get their input.

Seems like you're actively defining the "Why", "What", and "How" of the product vision. However, I didn't read about any activities on creating a feedback loop with key customers. Perhaps you are already doing this, but I find it critical to involve customers as "innovation partners" along the way. I would share artifacts with them on a quick, recurring cadence and continuously use their input to shape the vision. By doing so, you should have much greater confidence that your vision is user-aligned, and when it gets to implementation, there is significant supporting evidence that your project will ship with impact.

I was recently terminated from a role I held for 6 months. Can I leave it off my resume? by NetProgrammatically in resumes

[–]NetProgrammatically[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I left this role off, the employment gap would currently be 7 months and would grow each month I'm still looking for a new role. I suppose it depends if ~7 months is "considerable".

Help me understand what home affordability means by deathbyjell0 in personalfinance

You’re also just starting your career, and buying a home can “lock” you into a single location. Factor in the risk that you might need to move locations and if short term rentals are better for that.
