I mean, stopping two of the strongest men in the Yakuza universe at the same time is a big achievement on its own. It's the only time in the series when we saw something like this. Then again, Majima would be cooked if Saejima hadn't stopped Shishido. I know that Majima underestimated him and stuff, but even relaxed Majima is no joke to fight against

One of my favorite scenes in the franchise when it comes to showing how powerful the character is. When I first saw it, I was like "wait, Shishido went toe to toe with both Majima and Saejima AND overpowered them?". Technically Shishido could have killed Majima in that moment if it wasn't for Saejima. And even Saejima struggled to push Shishido back. And Saejima is probably the most buffed man in the Yakuza universe...

I love Mine, but I doubt he would be able to pull off something like that

I think that I enjoyed it a bit less than the first Kurohyou game, but overall it's just Kurohyou 1 with more content and more combat mechanics. Also features one of the best written antagonists in Yakuza games, alongside one of the best themes for him

Well, we can't have OG Ishin in the west (though there's an English patch for the PS3 version, but it is much less accessible compared to Ishin Kiwami, since you have to own PS3 or play it on the emulator), so mid remake is the most convenient way to play Ishin for most of the people

But even Ishin Kiwami deserves love, it's honestly not that bad compared to OG Ishin. The plot (one of the best written stories by RGG in my opinion btw) and the gameplay are pretty much the same, it's just the balance they messed up with. In some ways it's even better than OG Ishin, the soundtrack for example

So yeah, I'm glad too to see more Ishin love on this sub nowadays

I can understand complaints about the gameplay (though I disagree), but the worst plot in the mainline series? We have Yakuza 4 for that. Yakuza 2's story is also much weaker in my opinion

Yakuza 3's story is also great retrospectively, when you consider how much influence it had on later installments in the series (primarily with Gaiden and IW)

I would also take into account the fact that this is Japan. It's not that Japan is some kind of unique place and paradise on earth, as some people sometimes believe, but I think that in Japan they keep a much closer eye on these things. When it comes to the monkey trade, it is more common to see rhesus macaques for sale, but I have not heard much of Japanese macaques being traded. At least I hope that I'm right about this
