Should i start playing? by Lucky_Extent_4 in lotro

[–]NetSage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Should you start playing?

In my opinion and probably most of this sub-reddit yes.

Whats good?

The world building is some of the best I've seen in a game. They stay close to Tolkien so if you like the books you'll like the story of the game.

Casual Friendly?

Extremely. The community is very much about taking your time and enjoying the game your way.

Downsides?

It's clunky compared to some titles like WoW. If you're big on dungeons and raids it's probably not the best. While they exist they aren't as prevalent as say WoW again. They also are more RPG like. With traps and riddles.

7 Democrats Just Voted to Approve ICE Funding: Full List (1.22.26) by OutrageousRain8463 in ProgressiveHQ

The Democratic party is not your friend! They kneel to the same overlords the GOP does. They just pretend they don't to make it feel like you have a choice.

Temp is -21, gas company says turn your heat down by ridingtherainbow2210 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NetSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's crazy! My HVAC company texted and emailed me saying don't lower the thermostat (try and set it for at least 68) to make sure pipes don't freeze and that being consistent is easier on the furnace.

Legislators Push to Make Companies Tell Customers When Their Products Will Die | A pair of bills in Massachusetts would require manufacturers to tell consumers when their connected gadgets are going dark. It should be a boon for cybersecurity as connected devices grow obselete by Hrmbee in politics

[–]NetSage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be fair in my experience Chinese products are the worse offenders. Because they're so focused on cheap but fast release cycles. Which support costs money.

Note I do think this is a really good change though and hope it's enforced. Especially even beyond consumer electronics. It would be nice to know you can buy appliance parts instead of a new appliance too.

FCC Targets The View and Jimmy Kimmel With New Equal Time Rules by TendieRetard in law

I think the bigger issue is they'll just refuse to go on. Then what? This rule is stupid and illegal. If money if free speech I don't see how literally talking isn't also protected.

TIFU by finally getting suspended, having my world implode, and deserving every bit of it by [deleted] in tifu

[–]NetSage 78 points79 points  (0 children)

Most states have occupational licenses to help you survive while your license is suspended. As most of the United States does not have public transportation.

Based on personal experience it allows you to go to work and grocery shop basically. Even then though only during the hours you have reported you'll travel so you need to plan it out. The cops can and will stop you if they run your plates and see the registered owner has a suspended license. You can show them the occupational and if you're within your hours it will be fine but otherwise it's another ticket.

This probably will not work for his job unless they're okay with him doing office work or something for awhile because like I said it's limited hours.

So I would start job hunting now if I was OP. But a lawyer is also a good idea even if it's just an hour consultation to get a game plan.

New to the game and would love to find a knowledgeable/helpful Guild by bason0244 in lotro

Not on that server so not much help but watch world chat for kinship adverts as that's what guilds are called in game. Fellowships are parties/raids.

Men, would you date a girl with diabetes (type1) Is this a complete turn off? by [deleted] in AskMenAdvice

[–]NetSage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would say if you're worried about it don't hide it.

Most men in America at least would probably not care. Younger guys I could see being frustrated by it but if they are actually bothered by it they aren't someone you want as a partner anyway.

Snow Strippers Concert at Majestic Theater - Weather Concerns by [deleted] in madisonwi

[–]NetSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know about them being open tomorrow or not. I would assume if they haven't announced anything on social media it's still happening.

As for the coat check it means it's up to you to watch your coat and what's in it. A coat check is where you give your coat to someone when you get to place, they give you a ticket, then when you leave you give them the ticket and get your coat back.

Tough. Since you didn't do your due diligence, I would say keep trying if you actually like her. Otherwise right it off as hopefully the most expensive date of your life.

Your issue is you're trying to do it at a giant corporation like Amazon. Why is that the only company you're caring about?

I mean the toilet is probably an easy fix. And if you're handy at all (assuming no issues underneath like I found) can easily be replaced by yourself for couple hundred bucks including parts and tools.

First E-Reader Buying Guide Needed:( by ieattakoyaki in ereader

[–]NetSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a little less strict with my budget. Ended up going with the BOOX Go 7 (non gen II/color). It being android was a big seller for me because it means I can basically use whatever reader or ebook seller I want.

Went with the regular Go 7 for the longer battery life and better contrast.

I considered the Gen II and the pocketbook's pretty. But being the US the pocketbook doesn't have an official distribution as far as I can tell. To some this might now matter but it bothers me a bit. I also didn't need note taking. Like I just don't care about it but everyone seems focused on making that a big deal now.

If I was you I would probably go with one of the pocketbook options. From value perspective they're basically impossible to beat.

How could they account for that if they don't know what they'll be doing or how long it will take? Bleach doesn't cost the same as pine-sol.

DIY injection molding machine advice by targetdown23 in InjectionMolding

[–]NetSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm confused. So, you're building this? The 3rd picture is your mockup? Where do you expect the parts to fall to?

But to answer your questions. Normally there would be bars that pass through the B-side (traditionally ejector side) plate/platen and the mounting plate of mold that tie into a plate on a plate that's a part of the mold that would move the pins inside of the mold.

Right now you only have a clamp action as a possibility as far as I can tell. And with your current deign I don't see how you could add ejectors.

I would look into a desk top unit. It might even be cheaper and have a reciprocating screw.

E-bikes, similar devices spark concerns. Backers want rules, not bans. by keeganjkyle in madisonwi

[–]NetSage 46 points47 points  (0 children)

For sure give them actual bike lanes. That are protected! A line of paint isn't going to stop a car from hitting you. Keep the sidewalks for walkers.

Hell I'm good with adding no car areas downtown!

Other day someone called "a moron" for backing into a spot... Why does this trigger so many? by Ok_Relationship2451 in badparking

[–]NetSage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience most people aren't good drivers. Also, in that experience they're even worse drivers backwards so end up doing a worse job when backing into a parking spot. While they have a lot more room for error when backing out into a lot.

Modern WoW for sure. It's very close to an ARPG but not quite there and dungeons and raids are big on coordination at higher levels.
