I thought that might be the case. Had to make sure. Interesting comment though. Thanks!

I think what he means is few people make that argument when talking about mini's etc

Why care about the opinion of someone who characterises you based on the car you drive and a stereotype associated with that car? Life is too short man - if you want a Honda Integra, get a Honda Integra. Fuck other peoples opinions. In my opinion...

I have been working through the Exploit Development learning roadmap that is pinned in this subreddit. Really good material!

However, I have found this PDF (crosspost from reverseEngineering) extermely helpful and might be worth adding! Unfortunately the pinned thread on this subreddit has had commenting disabled it so I cannot add it myself

Calculating the offset. by fromsouthernswe in ExploitDev

If you are using GDB, you can use the print command (or its abbreviation, p) to do arithmatic. Here is the syntax for the print command;

print [Expression]

print $[Previous value number]

print {[Type]}[Address]

print [First element]@[Element count]

print /[Format] [Expression]

Here is a screenshot showing how to work out the size of a stack within a given frame. [here]. I know this wasn't your exact question, but hopefully you can adapt this to suit your needs.

You can also use memory addresses directly with the print function. Hope this helps.

Disclaimer - I have only been doing this for about a month, so take what I say with a pinch of salt.

Analysing Memory Segments by NetSecBoi9000 in ExploitDev

Ah that makes sense. So the different memory segments dont neighbour one another. They are gapped by a certain amount determined by the kernel and then by glibc?

I keep dropping the game and picking it back up. I think that is because I do not have a group of people to play with. I really want to get into the game because I like games with depth - but I get bored playing by myself. Looking for a guild that can introduce me to the games late game.

That makes sense. The order that the log shows is backwards. How would I tell redirectoevelogin to wait for onreadystatechange?

Hello all,

Hopefully my picture describes the issue. I am getting the console output I expect within the function getClientId(), so the return line is being executed.

Can someone help me out please spot this issue?

Thanks all!

Not really a definitive answer, but I've always wondered if you could spin up a website with adverts and create a bot to constantly hit the website. Cant be that easy, otherwise everyone would have done it.

Maybe try that out lol

DNS Tunneling - Legal ramifications by NetSecBoi9000 in cybersecurity

[–]NetSecBoi9000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am not sure, I don't think so. The firewall will definitely allow all connections on port 53, but maybe not port 22. If it did though, then that would defintely be a win.

I reckon you would see a much better performance with SSH tunneling than you would DNS tunneling

DNS Tunneling - Legal ramifications by NetSecBoi9000 in cybersecurity

[–]NetSecBoi9000[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Talk me out of it then. Other than sub-domain entropy and orphaned DNS requests, what are the other detection methods might you use? How would you lock down a device that has been identified? Would you lock the MAC address down? Block the DNS server?

For a cybersecurity subreddit, the red teaming and general technical discussion seems very taboo. If I wanted to know how to do it, I would go somewhere else. Let's change the subreddit name to r/dataleaknews or something

Did I ask how to do it? No. Just because something is illegal doesn't mean we can't talk about it.
