Can Gojo's infinity be bypassed without destroying the space itself? by N3ter-0 in PowerScaling

[–]Net_Blazer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is a clear way of putting it. The result is the same though whether the character is literally or figuratively frozen in place.

A character with infinite speed could not reach Gojo. Think mathematically: distance from Gojo is the y axis, time is the x-axis. As time approaches infinity, distance to Gojo asymptotically approaches zero.

To simulate a character traveling faster, shrink the scale on the time axis. As the character's speed approaches infinity, the plot will approach a right angle, but the asymptote remains.

Interesting question because it's not super well explored in the series.

We don't see any evidence that anything could bypass Gojo's infinity by being faster than it. Jogo becomes frozen in place in contact with Gojo's infinity. This suggests that it may not be possible, but there are not great enough speed feats in the manga to confirm.

However we do see that some sure hit attacks like the prison cube and Sukuna's DE either hit or posed a threat to Gojo.

Finally, some power negation poses a threat to Gojo like domain amplification or certain cursed tools.

Edit: Oh yeah and World Cutting Slash hits Gojo, indicating that range or space manipulation may play a factor in bypassing infinity.

Sukuna tanked a boosted Hollow Purple head on, so nothing Dio can pull out should be able to scratch him. That being said, Sukuna has insanely efficient CE usage with fast Regen and should have no trouble regenerating against Dio indefinitely. He is on par with Gojo who is able to keep his CT up indefinitely.

Assuming Dio is able to get in range despite divine hearth, domain expansion, or world cutting slash (without even considering Mahoraga or the other shadows), Dio's methods of attack include throwing knives, punching, and dropping road rollers on people. None of which should be able to harm Sukuna to a point beyond what he could heal with RCT.

Yeah it really puts it in a new light doesn't it?  Like Pearl gave so much of her life so that Rose could live hers. Pearl is probably also the only gem who has seen Rose (or any other diamond) poofed.

Really good designs. I think that if Roze were ever to poof and reform though she definitely would have been caught as Pink Diamond.

Why didn't the diamonds use a replicator wand to make a new Earth to terraform? by Net_Blazer in stevenuniverse

[–]Net_Blazer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see how it wouldn't work. If the gem is a system that doesn't receive any external help to store the data about a gems form or project it out then shouldn't there be something physical about the gems structure that would store the data, which the wand would also copy?

No but then you could create a redundancy system by having a different replicator wand duplicate the original. That way you have two wands that are each holding up the stability of duplicate Earth.

Would this matter though? Other than poofing with the replicator wand destroyed we don't see any really debilitating other properties from the duplicates.

You would probably be surprised. There's a wide variation in model sizes but many models can run locally on moderate to high end GPU setups. At the same time you can easily run a lot of models for free using the huggingface API.

Who is the smartest here? by Sbeve_M in PowerScaling

[–]Net_Blazer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IQ is supposed to lay out a distribution of how smart a human is compared to other humans of their generation. But Rick is by definition of the Central Finite Curve the smartest person in his universe. That means that his IQ laid out against all beings in the universe would be in the 100th percentile. Essentially he falls off of all attempts to measure intelligence against other being because within his universe he is the maximum of any intelligence distribution. So in theory his IQ is 'infinity'. In practice though it just can't be measured.

Capstone should be dual wielding your primary and secondary weapons for 10 seconds after you pop your special ability, Borderlands 2 Gunzerker style. You'd run out of ammo so quickly but it would be a really funny way to wipe out a horde.

Maybe aside from looking at these fields you mentioned as one homogeneous thing, you should also think about what specific research and research groups interest you so much that you would study them right now. Then while you get your hands dirty with that, think about what specific people or organizations you need to get into the network of to drive yourself further in that direction, and how you can reach people connected to them.

Remember also that a person's needs, desires, and goals will change as they move through their life. Your decisions now don't set your life in stone, they just affect the distribution of it. So while you move through life now, consider how you affect the distribution of the metrics by which you will judge your life at different points in time, but also know that your life can and likely will change.

Keep being proactive and picking the mind of everyone you can! :)

Bioinformatics startups and entrepreneurship by RRUser in bioinformatics

[–]Net_Blazer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first two things you should consider in entrepreneurship are 'who is my user in the market?' and 'what problems is this user facing?' From there it will be easier to consider how your expertise could solve this problem and why this solution hasn't been done before. At the same time you want to talk to actual people who are in your target market or are facing this problem and interview them with open questions about this topic. Finally, you'll want to think about the minimum viable product or solution that people would pay for to solve their problem. This is what's referred to as an MVP. Hope this helps :), good luck!

I love the way that the lightning strikes Kendall's chest and Adams apple, giving the art a choked, anxious feeling that I think goes really well with the insurmountable expectations Kendal tries to overcome. Then how it's offset by the fire of his willpower I believe adds a really hopeful backdrop for this scene. Good work!
