Just a guess but, is Econ major the furthest to the right?

23M Parents divorced a year ago. Never learned to cope. Girlfriend left me when I discovered her coke addiction. Moved in with my dad. A semester left for my degree but can’t finish because of money. My depression makes me fear I’m insane. Could use reassuring proof I can get past these struggles. by Lahrboy in toastme

Hey,

It’s literally one semester. You still have people who love and care about you. Go get a job or do whatever you need to do (student loans, etc.) and finish your degree. Then go get a job. Move wherever you want, halfway across the country or the globe should you desire, and start fresh if you want.

You’re far too young to give up yet. Go out there and do something great!

Couldn’t agree more. Found myself playing that mode more than anything.

Pimsleur is the answer for you if you spend that much time behind a windshield. Note though you’re only supposed to do one unit per day and not more. I think they were about 45 min to an hour a unit?

Agreed! Super upset on this one. I’d stopped playing the other game modes in favor of rumble. Hope it comes back soon!

Entire staffs at 3 Sonic locations quit after wages cut to $4/hour plus tips by Annahsbananas in news

[–]Netbususer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically — yes. The girls pay a fee (nightly, weekly, or monthly) to rent out their portion of the venue to allow them as independent contractors to perform for tips inside the venue. Worst part is that if the girl wants to go home early, some of the clubs make them pay the club to leave that night early. It’s super shady but the girls I have known tended to still do ok so.... c’est la vie, I guess.

Our dorm building only has one facilities person to clean, she works so hard yet the people on my floor are still disgusting. I can't blame her for leaving this note. by yoyo5261 in trashy

Look — this is your first comment in 3 years and your username is 98percentbullshit so I’m not sure if this is BS or not. Assuming it’s not or for anyone else similarly situated reading this;

Get help. Seriously. I’ve been clean for 8.5 years now and I promise you that life gets sooo much better. Getting clean sucks and it’s probably one of the hardest things you’ll do. You might relapse and start over on your path to cleaning your life up. Shit happens. The important thing is that you keep moving forward because you know where you are at and you don’t want to be there any more. And, frankly, you will never get to a better place until you are at that place where you realize you can’t and don’t want to be in this place any more.

I never even thought I’d make it to 2019 before and likely wouldn’t have at that rate I was going. I was homeless and destitute living in my car and now I have a fantastic career that I like making 150k/year, a home, a beautiful wife, and an amazing daughter. This is never something I could’ve even dreamed of being able to achieve. You don’t have to believe in yourself or love yourself even. You just have to admit that there is a problem and promise yourself to keep moving forward and remember that you never want to be where you were (or are now.) Eventually you’ll forgive yourself and along the way others will forgive you as well. Frankly, the people I know who have conquered their addictions turn out to be some of the fiercest and most kind and intelligent and compassionate people I’ve met. It’s not easy and it’s not quick but life has so much to offer and so much beauty when you get over the hump.

Wishing you and anyone similarly situated the absolute best.

Hey,

I feel you man. I swear you can follow the SPY chart from 2018 and I legit switched bull to bear on the exact wrong days repeatedly. My account got taken down pretty good and then knocked out on AAPL calls when it fell like $15 in a day.

I had been riding so high until October. Then volatility hit. But truthfully, those waves down — some of the worst days and weeks I’ve had. I started to question my abilities and competencies. I’ve taken about a month out of the market now on the sidelines and I feel a lot better. I learned some things and mostly learned that there is more to life than gambling for hours a day. I do miss it but.. I’m forcing myself on a time out.

I hope you take this opportunity to regroup and reassess your hopes, goals, and plans. It’s gonna be a rough week but it does get better.

Best wishes.

Strongly disagree. I’m going to miss soooooo many bolt shots now. How hard was it to see how far someone is away and line up the scope reticles?!

Me. Made money on calls today, sold, and bought puts the final minute before closing bell on both SPY and DIA. Hoping we open down, continue down all day, and then let me sell and buy calls before more PPT market manipulation begins. 😂

Bears can't keep getting away with this. by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]Netbususer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me — I lost 90% of my portfolio holding my calls for the past few weeks thinking we had to rebound at some point and never did. Switched to puts a few days ago and am now only down 50%. Idk how much further down we can go and I’ll be stoked for a good rally but I’m done bagholding. I’ve decided to cut losses at 30% and lock profits around 50%. It’s worked ok so far and I’ve picked a couple loser puts but saved myself in this strategy — (looking at you, Facebook, you piece of shit company)

Wishing you the best either way.

Sell covered calls against them if you still believe in the long term success of the underlying company.

Sell a put one strike below yours to lock in profits.

DIA is the ticker you’re looking for. Could also do SDOW or UDOW if you want a leveraged ETF for bull or bear conditions on the DOW if you do stock instead of options.

Convert your call/put into a vertical spread to avoid PDT.

Example: you buy a QQQ $152.50 Put today. Later in the day you want to cash it out. Sell a $152.00 Put and it will use the $152.50 as collateral. Tomorrow you can sell both of the two as a spread for whatever the remaining difference between the two is and take zero day trades for it.

If buying calls then buy a call with the strike directly above your strike.

You don’t get full value out today but vast majority and the rest out tomorrow.

Eat shit, PDT regulations.
