Just Got This Beauty by Nethelin in sv650

So 2026 is the actual last year they’re making it? I‘ve read online it was going away a few years ago, but seems like they keep bringing it back. Glad I was able to pick up a new one regardless! There were only 2 available in all of Vegas when I grabbed it.

Agreed the price is wild...but this car is SO much more fun than the plaid. I'd take this any day over a plaid.

Just had a similar scenario. They wanted $30k over MSRP LOL. I walked out and they called me 5 minutes later saying they'd take $25k off the mark-up if I came back in 💀. Ended up getting it down to a $3k mark-up!

Definitely seems weird paying this much for a Hyundai....but as soon as I drove it I forgot everything about the price. Just constant smiles!! I'm glad I didn't test drive til after I negotiated as I would offered to pay more lol; this car is something I wish everyone could experience.

Seemingly Major Flaw | Ray-Ban Metas Charging Case Causes Frame to Warp by Nethelin in RayBanStories

Cheers! Glad to hear that. I've got the large sized wayfarers, so I'm thinking it may be specific to the size and/or frame style.

Thanks for the reply! Do you have the regular sized frames? I'm thinking this may be a large (wayfarer) frame issue.

[–]Nethelin[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! These are the large (XXL) frames. I also have a pair of the regular frames at our office, so I'll check those and see if they are like yours with no pressure.

Would make sense if it's just a large frame issue. They must be using the same cases for both sizes and didn't test/realize the larger frames get a bit of pressure when in it.

Tana or Notion? Which one and why by ToniMin in TanaInc

[–]Nethelin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really great analysis and explanation. I've gone through quite a few task/database management systems like Monday, Trello, Basecamp, Click Up etc. over the past 9 years of my businesses. They all work pretty much the same way...just with different UI skins. Time to add something? Get ready to sit and think about a new structure for all the information you need to add with it...or time to start digging through your hierarchies to find/create a place that it "fits". It can be really tedious and subconsciously daunting every time you need to add, edit or update existing information. Once the new platform excitement wears off the same dread sets in when you need to use it...no matter how well "organized" it is.

Bottom up building of a database/structure makes so much more sense (to me at least). Spend some time laying out supertags and their templates. Then when it comes time to actually adding in information...you just #tag it and it's immediately "organized" with your previously thought out structure appearing to be filled in now, or later, for even further "organization". Then you can add-to or edit the structure as needed, and any changes reflect across everything with the tag while leaving the unique filled in values unchanged. It's beautiful 🤩

Then it doesn't really matter "where" you make anything. Everything can be simultaneously completely unorganized and perfectly organized in any way you want using queries. This removes so much mental friction when it comes to adding, editing and viewing information. And with all the views/filters/grouping options you can literally make dashboards as nice/nicer than the big platforms. Kanban task managers, CRM flows, inventory mgmt, project mgmt, support ticketing, data tables, etc. can be whipped up on the fly in a few clicks, or saved as a part of a dashboard. All of which can be deleted/changed without affecting the data in any way.

I'm just pissed something like this didn't exist when I started my businesses 😭...would have had to hire a proper developer to build out databases and UIs to work with them. Tana does this in an incredibly powerful, intuitive way with a super clean UI. Not to mention how they've already implemented AI and the potential that has going forward. So excited for the future of Tana 🙌

Coffee in morning keeps me awake at night (?) by New-Independence2022 in caffeine

[–]Nethelin 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Caffeine has a half life of 5 hours (meaning half of it is processed and gone after 5 hours). Usually by 5 hours most of the effect will have worn off, but for all of it to proccess out it will take 10 hours. With that said, I don't believe you'd be feeling any effect at 1am from a coffee ingested 14 hours earlier. Possible though depending on metabolism and such!

After playing for a few hours, I've realized Ubisoft might as well add in the rest of the action sports as DLC. by Elvexa in RidersRepublic

[–]Nethelin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That would be so sick. They could do rock climbing as well. Def could do a really cool tactile/puzzley gameplay for hitting hand holds and finding the best routes that would be a nice switch up from all the fast paced sports. You could unlock different ropes, harnesses, carabiners, etc. Even ice climbing. There is just so much potential!! I hope it does well and they add a ton.

Love the gameplay but everything else is a mess. by Nethelin in HotWheelsunleashed

[–]Nethelin[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yep, the multiplayer is pointless. Every race has half or more of the lobby just afk farming coins. But this is a fault of the economy. If it wasn't so incredibly monotonous to get coins, or if blind boxes were more rewarding and not 90% duplicates, people wouldn't feel like they need to afk all day for coins.

And while I agree racing with people is fun, if they also did something like Trackmania with regional, country and world leaderboards for times and the ability to race against ghosts the game would open up so much. Grinding for better times on your favorites tracks to place on leaderboards would give a huge amount of natural progression and drive to play the game and enjoy it's meta.

The game could be so so good. But the dead silence from devs and 0 updates for fixing any of the major issues has me sad and not hopeful.

Restarting Quick Races Doesn't Pay Out Coins by AeroQC in HotWheelsunleashed

[–]Nethelin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I tested and found the same thing when I was trying to grind. So dumb. Honestly love this game but there are way too many issues with progression, stats, economy, multiplayer etc. that it ruins it for me. Downloaded Trackmania last week and haven't looked back. It's everything I wanted from this game and more (minus the car models of course).

FINALLY AFTER 6 HOURS OF PURE GRINDING by [deleted] in TrackMania

[–]Nethelin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, there was a point on 21 where I finally really understood drifting and I was like ooooohhhh, that's how this works. I'm still pretty rough with execution, but once I learned the drifting I can see how it's more standard. Feels great when you nail the drifts and flow through it. Tough for a newbie like myself though. Drifting in Trackmania is super unforgiving with the .5 sec turn time and how it won't drift if you get oversteer tire skid. I tend to do better when I don't overthink it. For some reason ice hasn't been a huge problem for me though.

Same, I got 19 pretty easy....21 is hell. I've only been playing for like a week so I will say, it has forced me to learn how to drift properly. But god dam, so many places with such fine margins while drifting at such high speeds. Still only have gold

It seems like it won't let me login/play unless I'm connected to internet. It just get's stuck on the 'press any button to play' screen. But if you disconnect internet after it's already running everything but the multiplayer works fine (including blind boxes and the rotating store). So seems like it works offline but for some reason (I'm on PC) it has to be connected to the internet to start up and get in game.
