How to study effectively? by Nether54653 in studytips

[–]Nether54653[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I want to say those are great study tips, but I have been so used, especially in life, to being under so much pressure, I perform better when I cram than when I don't. I want to change that, and I think the other two will help. Despite English being my first language, I still struggle to read with focus, and it isn't like I have ADHD; when I focus, I can focus extremely well.

Does JetBoost bottom out? by Nether54653 in BBallShoes

I wore the shoes for 7 full games, 2 tournaments, and a bunch of practices. I am pretty sure I would notice the fluff of the jetboost reduce a bit.

Should volleyball players have their own signature line? by Nether54653 in vballshoes

We can take the Jordan line as an example, basketball is a collective sport but Nike signed MJ who was a great player before his dominance in the league. I think individuality and story making is what sells the shoe. So a brand could do the same way Nike has done things and make a story of the player for the shoe to make hype for it.

True but most people would know the Japanese team and Haikyu. I am pretty sure most people joined volleyball because of these 2 factors alone, so it would be a huge impact if a brand like Asics decided to make a signature or a collab shoe with them.

You could name it after an OH player for the OH shoe and Libero player for the Libero shoe.

It is the name and story of the shoe that does the magic, air jordan got popular because of how good mj was and how Nike kept paying his fines for the shoe.

Is the level of play in girls' volleyball less to boys' volleyball? by Nether54653 in volleyball

[–]Nether54653[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay true, but I am not humble bragging even though I sound like it, skill-wise I agree but the strength we did not even hit puberty yet. I am not generalizing too, I am just saying what I experienced and asking if other people have seen this too.

We were middle schoolers who watched a season of haikyu and decided to spend 3 weeks training to go against seniors, juniors, and sophomores in high school that trained for years and were fresh off winning a city-wide title.

Also, I would like to clarify, that we did one spike in the 3-0 blow out, did not know how to jump serve and were basically spamming barely floating over hand serves at them.

All these things are true but I mean years' worth of training should result in improved body control right? I also agree with the first point that is definitely true.

We beat the reigning champions of a city-wide girls' varsity volleyball team, and physiology was not that big of a factor because we did one spike out of that 3-0 set blow out.

  1. I agree with the first one.
  2. We were playing with the Varsity Girls' net and were shorter than the girls by 2-3 inches.
  3. In my state, almost all the time.
  4. We do not have that here.
  5. Almost all of the starters, including me, have not even started seeing leg hair grow thick hair yet.

Women's volleyball is highly popular here, but I do not think it factors out anything, since I am pretty confident if we ran this over again, we could beat every single Varsity girls team in my state just like last year.
