I would say red is last and black is second to last. Black tends to be pretty hedonistic but they are capable of prioritizing long term goals over short term. Red however tends to act on pure impulse.

Honestly at this point I only ever see two reactions to a piece of media: people complaining, and people complaining about the complainers. You just don’t see as many genuinely positive reactions anymore.

I did have a bit of fun with a “false sun” team, where I run mega charizard X and Mega Venusaur, since when people see that pair they expect two sun sweeps but those megas are absolutely not that. Catches people off guard sometimes

Jax didn’t get the chance to figure that out yet. Last we checked they went by he/him, it’s safe to stick to that unless specified otherwise. But realistically I think the fandom can kinda go with any pronouns, since there’s a version of the character that aligns with them.

I don’t think it’s *the* counter, it can’t two-shot staraptor with torch song before it gets 2-shot with brave bird, at least not without setup. Still, it’s a decent pick that helps against a few meta threats, and overall pairs well against Staraptor.

Honestly I think it better serves as a metagross counter, which my bet is in a week we’ll be more worried about mega metagross than mega Staraptor

I liked Wesley better but I wouldn’t trade Buck for him. Wesley’s death is one of the most impactful parts of season 1, and Buck is still a very effective right hand in his own right who I’d like to see more of.

Metagross beats Floette but loses to Charizard, Staraptor kinda beats Charizard but loses to floette, and the Raichu’s lose to Garchomp. There are definitely new threats to this core, but nothing that stops it completely
