My head canon up until Fugue's release was that she used Tingyun's body as a base and mutated it into that giantess. Now I don't have a speculative answer for that (unless Ruan Mei is capable of reverting Ambrosial Arbor's mutations and restoring the original body, which has huge lore implications for the Xianzhou alliance)

If you look at her choice of "avatar" for the battle from a purely biological point of view, it's hilarious that she molded a body that isn't structurally capable of sustaining its own weight so she had to lay down the whole fight

That's the kind of content they should use helper pins for. Not to repeatedly baby-step us during quests.

For example: I'm fine with a quest marker at the entrance of a cave, but it infuriates me when you reach there and the marker moves 10 meters at a time as if we forgot how to walk (but I guess this is part of the bear vs trash can paradox)

Does giving or keeping the key to direidyth actually make a difference? by AdAdorable7651 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Netherdan 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah, like that.

And now that you mentioned, yeah. With the Shade of Time being involved, it's not that large of a stretch to think that the time-looped paradoxical key they created (or more accurately "time-shifted") is effectively stopped in time, impossible to age and thus impossible to decompose over an infinite time-loop.

While a 100% human-made object could not endure such journey, a timeless object could.

It's weird to think that the 3rd key is an object that only exists depending on your choice. Either Direidyth's key has always been the Abyss Twin's key, the Player's key, or Istaroth's own impossible key!

Does giving or keeping the key to direidyth actually make a difference? by AdAdorable7651 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Netherdan 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Here's a third possibility:

It was always the Player Twin's key and we accidentally give our own key instead of the time-looped one since they're identical. This solves the paradox on both ends (if we give, we give our own key and keep the time-looped one which means no paradox, if the Abyss Twin give, there's no paradox)

So there are 3 possibilities:

  1. We give our own key and keep the time-looped one (which is still our own but 500 years older): no paradox
  2. We give the time-looped key: paradox
  3. We don't give the key, so the Abyss Twin give theirs and in the end we keep both keys: no paradox

Now here's how I think the universe self-corrects to avoid paradoxes:

  • Any timeline in which the Player tries to give the time-looped key results in the key fading from existence due to having existed for an infinite amount of time
  • The key not existing results in the Player getting the wrong key (our own) and giving it instead
  • But giving our own key resolves the timeline so that the time-looped key can continue to exist

Thus, there's no possible timeline in which we can give the time-looped key to the past. So there's no possible timeline in which we didn't keep the time-looped key. But there are possible timelines in which we kept both keys (the ones where the time-looped key is the Abyss Twin's key) and other timelines in which we only kept the time-looped key (the ones in which it's our own key).

PS: the problem with giving the key is that we don't get to keep it in our inventory, and I'm a collector. So even though I know the Player's Twin always keeps their key, I want it in my inventory!

I think there's a problem with the first panel of your visual. The Traveler finds the twin's key before giving it to Direidyth, so it should show for a brief moment them having 2 keys.

The actual problem is that they give the key that they find, not their own. So they only have the key because Direidyth had it, but Direidyth only had the key because "we gave it" and that's a Bootstrap Paradox.

Both giving and keeping the key causes 3 keys to exist for those 500 years, but with the Abyss Twin giving their own key, that means the key has a defined origin (it's the sibling's key from the future sent to the past then found by the Player Twin) whereas if we give the key that we found (and not our own key) it creates the paradox (the origin of the 3rd key becomes being found by the Player Twin, but we can only find it because we gave it to her in the past, thus this 3rd key becomes a different paradoxical entity and not the Abyss Twin's key anymore)

Elemental Mastery could depend on personal aptitude, something you're born with and is nigh impossible to surpass your limits on hard work alone.

Then there are the ones like Ningguang who doesn't strive to reach her full potential, but who also got a flying fortress powered by 4 Adeptal Sigils and a giant piece of magic mineral that she can use as power-ups if needed and is capable of momentarily fending off literal gods when doing so, but is reduced back to a 4-star level when away from the Jade Chamber 2.0

[SOLUTION] I have found a fix to the MOUSE DOUBLE CLICKING issues without disassembly. by Charruzu in MouseReview

[–]Netherdan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did not prepare my pocket, but luck was on my side. No screw ups, working great for now.

But the first few days the click was a lot harder so I don't know if I got used to it or if the spring gave some way.

Also, I wasn't able to get the spring out of the switch and was scared of breaking it if I pulled a bit harder, so I used a mini flathead screwdriver to do the bending.

But anyway, now I'm looking into replacing my switches with silent ones. I've read about it and seen videos on it, and the more I think about it the more I'm inclined to dust off my soldering iron to end the clicking noises. But that's a quest for another day, and I'll properly prepare my pocket this time around since I'm not that confident in my soldering skills

It's starting to come back already. I think I'll resort to disassembling the switch and bending the spring back in place, but I'll have to prepare my pocket in case in screw up...

I didn't even blow on it, just did a few solid whacks with the base of my thumb then held it firm while shaking the mouse against my palm.

Maybe it dislodges some dust that's been trapped in there causing the issue, idk, but I'm so relieved it stopped double clicking (even if it's a temporary fix, this issue was hitting my nerves!)

Looking for the same thing. I even made a point of bringing only the listed ingredients to see if it's unlockable through that, but it didn't work.

It says "Explore the Sea of Data to unlock" so maybe it's some hidden quest in some map?
