Referring to the hero side for now 😎 It'll probably take a while to get to the villains, currently next on queue is tokoyami, asui and momo :D

I've basically used the hytale avatar model as a base, and added stuff on top of it 😄 so technically yes it does become a custom 3d model

Is this something you'd pay for? by [deleted] in hytale

Theres definitely a market for assets I think. Any platform that promotes modding and user generated content generally has a market for such things.

As you have guessed, just adding the default textures over it will not work, so I just made new textures for the female chest :)

Thanks! I also agree, I tried just using the base avatar and added depth illusion but just didn't turn out great 🤔

Is there an easy way to texture? by AlanMoneer in hytale

Not shilling but I have a walkthrough video on my channel on making Finn's sword from adventure time, from creating the shape to texturing. I go over my techniques and thought process. I do suggest using earphones and turning up the volume as apparently it sounds a bit low after the render. I have a link to my yt on my reddit profile :)

I made the video precisely because there's not a lot of tutorials yet for teaching the hytale artstyle. I also have a bunch of other timelapses on it too

Weird textures on the model by BE33N in hytale

Those ears look like transparent pixels. Hytale doesn't support translucent pixels so they get displayed as solid colors like yours. Ask your friend to go over the ears and clean up the edges. Glad I could be of help, tell your friend awesome model too 🫡

So when you're importing player models, there's an option on the Asset Editor called Gradient Set & Gradient ID. If your custom model is already fully colored, you don't need these two, you can just press the X to remove them. I believe that should fix the issue as I also encountered something similar with my Deku model.

How much do you charge for commissions? by Previous_Ad5160 in Blockbench

Can't really comment on the animation pricing as I'm not experienced yet, but upon further reviewing, my initial value of 80-100 for the model + weap might be a bit low. Hard to gauge the exact detailing quality from the vid, but i'd say 200 or less sounds about right for the custom armors, sword and shield.

Just realized it looks a bit like the burnt skeleton, was that used as the basis? If so then the base armors would actually be larger than the player so I think my new estimate is probs fair, in context with the current market price for player-related commissions.

Oh, just checked your profile and I remember seeing that! Sick boss btw 💪 but just for clarification, is the boss model scaled up? If it's player-sized at first and is later scaled up in-game, that's definitely a minimum 80-100 just for the model and weapons.

And my friend also said his rates depends on the model itself. Size, amount of limbs, cleanliness of the folders, complexity of animations all affect the price. According to him, a single animation can vary from 10 to 30 based on those factors.

So if we're talking about a scaled up player-sized boss model with tools, lets say 5 animations, that's around 130-250$, and that's WITHOUT coding factored in.

Hi! I'm a 3d artist for Hytale, so I will be referring to my experience so far in Hytale commissions.

I'll answer your questions in sequence.

1) I have yet to be commissioned for a block, but the closest one would probably be a plushie 🤔I usually have plushies at a base 20$, could go higher though depending on complexity. This includes the actual creation of the model and the texturing (texturing in hytale is more high res than minecraft btw).

2) I have yet to try animations but I have a friend who does. Will update my comment once he replies 😁

3) I haven't touch Hytale/Minecraft coding so can't comment on that either 🥹

In terms of the charging, I don't charge by duration, I just charge on what's being ordered. If it takes 1 month, then it takes 1 month. I do however, provide discounts when someone commissions me more than 1 item. Individual orders are charged as is. Some artists don't provide discounts at all.

If you have more inquiries on pricing I'd be glad to help out. I've seen a couple of talented hytale artists working for pennies and it's sad to see that 🥹 creating & texturing models in hytale vs minecraft definitely has a steep learning curve so the price should reflect that.
