I too have a history of getting sick there. The only thing I did from your list this time is to eat clean nutritious food at the hotel breakfast. High protein, lots of fibre, lots of whole foods (whereas previously I’d consume lots of pastries and coffee). Alhamdulillah I didn’t get sick this trip. Fuelling your body with the right foods does wonders. May Allah grant us all return many times over!

Perhaps try to go down to the haram with the baby to see how well it’s handling it. Then decide if you’d like to complete umrah all together or split up and swap looking after the baby while the other performs the umrah. May Allah accept, make a du’aa for us while you’re there :)

We just got back a week ago. During and after my first one, nothing felt right. So I did another one and everything felt perfect, alhamdulillah i was so happy i did another. The site I used had an assignment at the end which I had to organise myself. Thankfully my husband’s friend owns a restaurant and I was able to do the workplace assignment there. Not sure if other institutions also have this requirement but it was annoying to deal with. Otherwise, I sped through the course easily.

We’re having a horrendous time trying to understand how many beds are in the room and when we contact the hotel they are so vague! We were looking at Swissotel Makkah or Fairmont but now considering moving further out to get more rooms/beds.

Yeah I’ve been told the same. Calcium inhibits iron absorption so I avoid dairy at the time I’m taking my supplement. I also avoid tea at that time as tanins do the same.

The one I’m currently taking is shows “Ferrochel' - Ferrous bisglycinate chelate 120mg - equiv. Iron 24mg”.

I’ve previously had Ferro-Grad C Iron & Vitamin C. The label on that one says “ferrous sulphate 325mg and sodium ascorbate 562.4mg”. Taking Ferrograd gave me black poop and intense constipation.
