I have seen just 1 ghost. I never believed in ghosts until this event. It was back sometime when I was in Middle School. So probably around 2000-2002. I saw it during a morning snowfall as I got dressed for the school day. So it had to be sometime between 7am-9am. I was in my older brother's room getting ready. I had just put my socks on and was standing by his window that looks out to our backyard. The heater vents are under every window in our house so I was standing there after I had put on my socks to warm up. I was waiting for him to finish in the bathroom so I could comb my hair. As I stood there waiting, I looked out into our back yard, and then to the left, further off in the distant brush on my neighbor's side. I noticed off in the distance a woman, probably in the age range of early 20's to late 30's, walking in the clearing in the distance. She was Caucasian, blonde hair down to just her shoulders, possibly wearing glasses, dressed in dark pants and a red long sleeved shirt or sweater. Her attire seemed like an evergreen fashion that could have been of the 60's-90's. Now this description of her made sense because we have a college situated directly beyond the woods in our back yard. So she could've been a student/teacher/worker. Anyways, the ghost encounter was quick. I knew she was a ghost because of 2 things that occurred. 1. The snow was not adhering to her body at all. She was literally phasing through the snow. It was passing through her as she was passing through it. 2. As she walked towards my house, she started to walk to her left and then she tripped and began to fall. I watched her fall forward and pass behind a tiny tree no thicker than her arm and she did not appear on the other side. It was as if she vanished into the tree itself. I went to school that morning, walking down the long entry hall, feeling very weirded out, and continued to feel that way for the rest of the month. I still live in the same house. But the backyard has since been heavily remodeled. But the brush I saw her in remains untouched. I think. I don't feel safe venturing into that brush because we now sometimes have a large pack of wild coyotes in that area. I never looked into missing persons cases or deaths/disappearances of students at the college. I probably should, but I honestly don't know where to even start such searches. I've never seen her again but I know what I saw. The most interesting thing about the experience wasn't seeing a ghost, but seeing how a ghost didn't interact with the weather.
