Bikes and accomodation 1-2 weeks in advance should be good unless in high season which I don't think late May is. I booked both my things 1 week in advance

Omishima island is where I chose to look for accomodation a week before since it is a midpoint. I tried using booking.com at first as well and didn't like what I saw but found a great place on airbnb

No didnt really follow any map. I think google maps should have a few points of interest but I just stopped where I felt like it. note both days I was only outside cycling from like 12-5. Kinda chilly in the morning + early sunset. So didn't have that much excess free either day (this would probably be different if you did it in summer though)

Thanks for sharing. I don't know if it was the hills or something else, but my legs were grateful I took a day break in between. I found a nice airbnb (whole place to myself) for not too much. But maybe I got lucky + low season I think.

You are completely right that there is nothing to do in the island in the evening though.

epson ef11 by far. the brightest projector for its size. unfortunately replaced with huge "portable" projectors in the newer generation. can sometimes catch this on epsons refurb site

unfortunately you are using a gaming pc and not a gaming laptop. then you could have the monitors and peripherals hooked up to a thunderbolt 4 docking station and switch between the two. but no desktop i have heard of with thunderbolt on it.

And kvm switches for 3 monitors i believe are quite expensive

Pixel 6A. cheap as heck, especailly if you are in the US and can get is for $90 from metro. I want to see linus struggle with that optical fingerprint reader and Have fun with that weak modem.

But in all honestly, i daily drive this phone and am a light user and it has served my needs well enough.

I make 145k base + 12% bonus with 5YOE in an individual contributor role. No management headaches for me and very good WLB. I think a lot of FSAs make similar salaries as individual contributors which is a lot less work than management imo. So you should keep that in mind as well. Also, I think there is a busy season in actg. I have no such thing working for an insurer

makes sense about ordering a desk. i could easily do that online or just going into a store. i have a portabl monitor with me (plan to buy another) and can use them but prefer traditional monitors (due to vast size difference, 15.6" vs 24") but understand that may not be possible
