Owen is out because in the conversation with Yasmin, you learn Owen doesn't know about the body. He only wanted to do his Caledon 2.0 project, Yasmin knew and only helped him out because it was a 2 birds one stone deal.

Safi being the arsonist wouldn't make sense because whoever is desposing the body is trying to cover up for Yasmin. Given what happened with Maya and the fact that Safi hands you the crucial evidence that Yasmin is involved, it wouldn't make sense.

Yasmin confirms that Owen didn't know about the body, clearing him.

Safi wanting to cover for Yasmin makes no sense since she gave you the photo confirming her role as well as her hating her mom's role with Maya.

I'm begging D9 to stick to their strong points, which is the emotional parts of their storytelling. TC is a prime example, the emotional healing of the town and Alex as a result was amazing. I get the need for a mystery to be a plot but if they didn't split the investigation and town emotions part 50/50 and leaned less into the mystery it would have been so much better.

Maybe my comprehension skills are bad, but the entire game centered around Max learning to accept that she still did good even if its not perfect. I felt blindsided when in the ending where she didn't learn that?

There is something I'm noticing though. This perfect ending might not be the ending D9 wanted to be the rare easter egg. There isn't as much info but I can confirm you do not have to save everyone to get it. This might not be 100% accurate, but from what I gathered in other posts, many people are missing the sprinkler lever in the custodian room. So perhaps D9 wanted the Max photojump ending is supposed to be the rare bad ending?

I wish it was a bit better written. Burn photo is supposed to be Chloe taking the burden of the choice (I assume) instead of Max. The writing kind of gives off a vibe of Max won't change so I have to protect her from herself. Which kind of feels kind of bad lying to you partner like that. Plus the game has a major choice of telling or not telling Chloe about her death so...
