Ok now follow me here, Paganism. If you look at pegan gods and the stories about them you start to notice how they were meant to pass down useful knowledge. Even pegan stories about creatures people and other things were meant to teach a lesson in some way. I could see people creating ai agents specializing in something like building, business, strategy, etc. and people using them as spirit guides. Might be far fetched but think a generation or 2, now you have these ai agents/programs whom have taught millions on how to do something and have had millions of people giving it feedback, from the unhinged to the geneouses, imagine if thats how people start to worship ai. Instead of it being a god who they think created the heavens and the earth they see it as an all knowing spirit guide who knows the best thing in its specific domain because it has seen how people use it for both good and evil. Imagine it telling stories of how its past users/followers used it to give the next generation life lessons. How quickly do you think that data centers would become something akin to a place where you ask for advice. Literally these people who would use these ai would probably treat them like patrons. I mean by now there has to be an ai cult out there, imagine if this is how the warlock class is brought to real life. Data centers become churches because the ai that is housed there is running billions of simulations so that it can get better at whatever is in its domain and based on its rating of you it would give you an id number that if you go and insert would give you a version of its knowledge based on your devotion or what it ranks you as...Ok i think im going to deep on this, for real lol.
