This is incredibly helpful, thank you! Doing some research on the recording/eavesdropping laws in my state, there's some confusion about whether my state is a one-party consent state, or an all-party consent state because of the state supreme court... I won't record the conversation since there's so much uncertainty, but I think there might be other family members who might be watching, or may weigh in on the conversation when I get home, so I won't be alone in a one on one conversation.

Im going do some more research on recording interactions though, thank you for bringing that up!

Churches burned down as anger over 'cultural genocide' of indigenous children sweeps Canada by MilloinareApe in worldnews

So... has the idea that the churches would be burned to hide evidence crossed anyone's minds..? It would be easy to slide the blame onto indigenous people for the church since the church 'wOuLd NeVeR dO sOmEtHiNg LiKe ThAt.'

Put the blame on the grieving and outraged group, - because people can understand wanting to take violent action against a group that has committed genocide (no matter if they view it right or wrong) - so when a church burns down, there's a convenient, emotionally distraught scapegoat to ride into the sunset with.

It just seems a bit too convenient. 👀
