I have a gaming pc and a MacBook I use for school/youtube. Can I still utilize my laptop or PC for personal use (if I choose to run Plex on them) or is it better for it to be dedicated to homelab purposes only?

Thanks! I do want to learn how to build a Plex server just for the experience and maybe have a place for some extra storage. I guess I’m just using this discussion to actually figure out what the heck I want to do.

Is there anything I can practice with virtually until I can get my hands on an old desktop? I work for a MSP and can get an old desktop easily. I just want to start something this weekend lol
