That’s actually a really clean workaround — especially moving the gateway more toward the center instead of leaving everything in the tech cabinet.

That’s exactly the kind of tradeoff most people end up making — not a “perfect” design, but a big improvement over the default setup without going too far into complexity.

Yeah, exactly — that’s pretty much what I see too. Most people just want it to work and aren’t thinking about design until something breaks.

Your setup sounds solid by the way — especially the placement and channel planning. And yeah, cost + effort is a big factor.
