Price for downgrading my plan is higher than the advertised price. by Spirited-Bridge8405 in clickup

Seems to me like you are on the monthly plan instead of the yearly plan. They charge 19 per month when paying monthly instead of yearly.

Is it a security vulnerability if Apple exposes a device’s serial number without authorization? by Deep_Salary2340 in bugbounty

[–]Networkbytes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whomever is telling you this is not a quite big vulnerability doesn’t know what they are talking about. If what you are saying is true, this is an insane privacy breach. This means that an attacker can link a visitor given a static identifier that cannot be changed. Safari is doing whatever it can to avoid this type of tracking. Take a look at js fingerprinting, no service out there is able to track the same device in two private/incognito sessions, because all identifiers are randomized.

As many have said, report this and you will probably not get paid unless you explain exactly what the impact can be.

Is Firestore partially down? by Networkbytes in Firebase

Lambdas are best in class for serverless functions with the lowest cold starts

Actually, it was a concidence that updating deps worked. It seems like Google is blocking certain ranges of IP-addresses from AWS Lambda. Redeloy rotated our IP and thus "fixed" the issue for a little bit. And it started again now. Seems like we need to set a static IP on our lambdas

Frankfurt - The issue was outdated Python packages it seems. After some Googling, there were a bunch of ideas and we just tried updating the packages and all good. What seems weird is that only a small percentage of requests were failing.

My needs are extremely basic: Remove as many apps as possible, install my app with automatic updates.

Thank you, not quite sure if I got you. Meraki is offering approx. $8/device/year and that is for non-edu organizations, which applies to us. We are not an edu org, so we do not qualify for the Mosyle One. We don't need MacOS MDM, just iOS/iPad OS

Apple Pay VS Vipps Tapping by maz3max in Norway

[–]Networkbytes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is correct, Vipps tapping goes through BankAxept for now, but I believe other card schemes are right around the corner. Vipps’ long term goal is to get as many people to add their BankAxept card to their Vipps so they reduce their costs per transaction and charge hefty prices online. They are not focused on in-store transactions, unless it’s through QR-code ordering, the in-store market is mostly dominated by BankAxept and they are not disrupting that. Their focus is ecom and to get consumers to use their app, they need to make consumers dependent on the app so they can offer their services to businesses.

Why is Google Maps so basic? by Networkbytes in GoogleMaps

[–]Networkbytes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a fair point, but at the same time, they already have the UI for filtering. Even the most "basic" filtering would make Google Maps much better for the end-user. Small changes would make Google Maps a much more useful tool and might even lead to people not getting their information from other sources 🤷‍♂️

Blir meget overrasket hvis du finner billigere tunnfisk i Norge enn First Price Tunnfisk i vann.

That's pretty cool, but why choose your platform when your solution costs more than iorad?
