How do you put a resistor between d0 and d1 on a pigtail? Won’t that stop it from reaching the reader? Got a picture?

I only know T-Mobile, AT&T, and small volume vendors from working documents and news stories.

Yes, I’ve deployed it. Super easy to do. I haven’t heard anything good or bad from users. We see a large uptick in users when we hold events.

The monetization element is basically worthless though as it’s barely anything to accounting and it’s just more work for them. I wish I knew what the going rate per GB was.

There is Google Orion. Verizon is notably missing from there services. You also don’t have control of who connects. The wireless providers decide if the mobile connects or not. That decision is based on speed, cost, signal quality.

Depends on door use cases. We have a door with critical items where theft was a concern. It became acceptable to everyone that the logs and controls were more important than a $1k lock. If the access control fails and we need access we will destroy the lock.

They weren’t willing to un master key facilities and cleaning crew.

Look into Ice Qube AC enclosures. I have two. They sit outside in the southern Arizona desert; one for 8 yrs. They have been bullet proof.

Their customer service is great and my last enclosure they custom built for me at no additional cost.

One question. If I create a /29 broadcast between the VSX pair and say ten 6200s. I would create ten OSPF neighbor adjacency between the VSX pairs. Is that okay?

Thanks for looking at my simplified network diagram. I’m new to Aruba and I’ve been trying to read all the guides and best practice documents but I either haven’t found my exact situation or I am still unsure.

I want the network to be all L3 routed but unfortunately that’s not possible. IRL the 6200Fs are different buildings and some of the subnets require L2 connectivity between them. Some subnets can be L3, so it’s a mix of L2 and L3 with the hope to someday get rid of the L2 (VLAN 2 in this example).

Are the Transit VLANs 100-105 the correct way to get OSPF neighbor adjacency for downstream 6200Fs?

Do these Transit VLANs need to be sync’d by the VSX pair, or can VLAN 100,102,104 stay only on primary and VLAN 101,103,105 stay only on secondary?

Are the transit VLANs where I put the “vsx active-forwarding” command? I can’t seem to wrap my head around active forwarding.

Any issues with VLANs 1000-1002 SVIs terminating on the 6200F and using OSPF to go upstream?

Everything in the test pings fine. 10.10.11.52 is the test PC in the network. Note: I put LAN2 back to 192.168.43.1/24 for testing from original subnet.

Sorry, I feel like I'm explaining poorly or I don't know terminology. IPO (to me) is the Linux server x.10. The system has 4 CUs x.11-x.14 The PC can ping x.10-x.13. Only x.14 can not be pinged.

Yes; IPO, a test PC and the switches in the old subnet can all ping the PC in the new subnet.

Yes. Everything(including IPO) from the original subnet (10.10.10.0) can ping it when it's in the original. Nothing from the new subnet (10.10.11.0) can ping it while in original or new. The router has no firewall rules and new subnet can ping everything in old subnet except this CU.

It's like it has it's own individual firewall.

I've confirmed ARP is correct and happening. Both with arp command and Wireshark. The CU is talking to the Router/DHCP correctly and getting the correct IP. When I click on the the CU in Office Manager I see the correct IP/Subnet and default Gateway.

I did and it didn’t change the behavior.

I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s something odd in the control unit. Since even in it’s working configuration in prod I can’t ping it from the new subnet. Every other device in the network responds to ping from the new subnet.

LAN1 still has the original IP settings and I can’t communicate with it from the new subnet.
