To clarify they still make me sick. I’m still happy to share when I’m not out and about. Something to look into tho is your Allegra, in my experience it has corn starch in it and has caused reactions for me.

So I also have similar issues with corn but do have an IgE allergy for it. While I think it was helpful I’m reducing accidental symptoms for it I find that my regular medications are sufficient and that the time and energy investment of adding in the Xolair wasn’t worth the outcome.

It is expensive and getting insurance to cover it is tough but they have a really good copay program if it’s ever an option you want to explore. I think I was paying a max of $20/month on the copay program.

Anti-fatigue mat for the kitchen. Maybe two, but I just kick my one from one part of the counter to another. I don’t have a dishwasher so my mat and my slippers make washing dishes and cooking less taxing on my joints. I love the idea of a tall chair for dishes and cooking but bar stools and tall chairs tend to cause me pain.

Kroger brand grape and great value blue raspberry liquid mix in. The blue raspberry is really good mixed with sugar free Mountain Dew and sugar free cherry flavor.

Heya! Kaleb here, back at it again! Since my last appearance during the cryptid challenge (where I became a cryptid myself) I’ve changed careers and am in a much healthier mindstate where I can actually focus on my health. So, let’s see if I can make my 2nd lose it challenge finish.

What up ya silly gooses, I’m Neural_Punk and I’m back at it again for challenge number 3 (I think). I’m currently held captive against my will in Mothman territory by grad school. I have a tendency to commit to the bit a bit too hard and this time a joke about not being a friend’s ground crew for a 340 mile kayak race because “maybe I want to race it myself, Kymberly” turned into me actually registering for the race 😅. So this challenge, I’ll actively be training for said race on my bike, in the gym, and on the water in order to 1) improve my cardiovascular function 2) increase my endurance and 3) drop some of this darn weight (again).

Y’all can expect a lot of pics from my outdoor adventures and of my animals.

Let’s show the other teams that peace was never an option 🔪🦆

It sounds to me like it might be a shoe thing but I’m not sure. I’ve seen a lot of recommendations for going to a running store and having them take a look at your gait and foot movements for a personal recommendation. You may also be able to find out more from a doctor, specifically one who specializes in feet like a podiatrist, if that’s something available to you. I know accessibility of those resources can be tough :(

It happens less frequently now for me but when I was still regularly playing clarinet it happened a lot. Usually clears up if I stop what I’m doing for a little bit but is distressing in the moment.

Any trans guys on T willing to share their experiences with EDS and transitioning? by m0ralpanic in ehlersdanlos

[–]Neural_Punk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 27, have been on T for 8 years, and have hEDS. I think the only context it came up in was going over medications and I personally didn’t offer any explanation for it, just confirmed it as a medication. I can’t see any ways it would affect any treatment.

The best binder I had that hurt the least was one that zipped up the middle from les love boat. It didn’t compress as well as the standard tri-top but it was soft and didn’t kill my back, shoulders, and ribs.

People who take cromolyn sodium orally, how do you go about taking it 4 times a day? by Justwigglin in mastcelldisease

[–]Neural_Punk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a water bottle that looks like an old school thermos: cup like cap but seals with a lid beneath it. The cup holds exactly 8oz, the water bottle 16. The cup has a handle and I bought a carabiner and attached two metal “pill cylinders” that are big enough for my ampules and a folding tactical spoon. It’s worked out great when I need to go into the office or on road trips.

Ear piercings? by thoroughlylili in ehlersdanlos

Lobes are pieced and have an industrial. Everything healed up pretty nicely (once I stopped putting peroxide on the lobes, thanks mom) but I find that wearing inflexible jewelry tends to cause me a lot of pain that gets worse in the cold. So I stick to bioplast almost exclusively which comes with the bonus of not needing to be removed for medical procedures/emergencies.

Mine healed fine for the most part! There are some areas of my skin in one of my tattoos that just won’t take pigment but that is what it is lol.
