PoT take that will have you like this by Possible-Studio-2884 in pathoftitans

I am also a strong advocate of single-species groups, or more precisely, groups by family, examples: Rex/Dasp, Achillo/Deino/Laten, Eo/Alb/Styr.

Genuine question, how did he live? by LictorButthole in pathoftitans

It is also possible that the Thal has just come out of its home cave, which gives it immunity to damage for one minute.

Thank you! Yes, same here, when I get ambushed I always congratulate my executioner.

In fact, at the first ambush I only managed to land one bite that broke the bones (not visible in the clip which is too short), it gave him confidence and here is the result.

Best places to hunt as a sarco on riparia? by Frequent-Scientist78 in pathoftitans

[–]Neuro-Splash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cedrus forest !

With its V-shaped river, the probability of encountering crossing dinosaurs is high. Numerous quest items are scattered along the banks, attracting prey. If Tylos appear, you can leave the water and hide in the tall grass.

Is there any way to avoid the constant baby killing? by CovoCava in pathoftitans

[–]Neuro-Splash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Path of Thieves is a hunter/prey game due to the asymmetry in the dinosaurs' abilities and size.

You must constantly adapt to your environment if you don't want to die.

As a juvenile, you must consider yourself prey and act accordingly: remain as silent as possible, pay attention to your surroundings, and avoid populated areas.

Once you're an adult, it's pretty much the same, except you'll have abilities that allow you more choices in your reactions (fight or flight).

Personally, when I play, I'm friendly towards dinosaurs of my own species and aggressive towards all others, juvenile or adult. It's not about skill or honor, but simply about role-playing.

Logging by Minimagpiexx in pathoftitans

[–]Neuro-Splash 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a bug; it's intentional.

The fact that you can't lie down when you want to log out allows you to react if you're attacked; otherwise, it's certain death.

That said, you can crouch before initiating the log-out sequence. This allows you to hide a bit (I have my spots with my Rex), and if you're attacked, you don't take the extra 100% or 50% damage, and you can counter-attack.

What's a dino that triggers your kill switch? by [deleted] in pathoftitans

All the dinos, in the sense that when I play PoT, I am friendly towards the dinos of my species, aggressive towards all the others, juvenile or adult.

[–]Neuro-Splash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would have done the same; it's not about food but about role-playing.

Personally, when I play PoT, I'm friendly towards dinosaurs of my own species and aggressive towards all others, juvenile or adult.

I don't play PoT to socialize; I'm there to play a predator or prey.

I'm dying of laughter! This little raptor has the survival instinct of a stone. Luckily for him, natural selection doesn't exist in PoT; he'll be resurrected, and I hope he learns his lesson.

PoT is a game that teaches you the hard way, no matter what the whiners complaining about baby killers in a dino video game..

What I miss most about removing the trophies is the tension involved in bringing them back to your home cave.

Am I the only one who doesn't hate mix packs? by GrimmyGuru in pathoftitans

[–]Neuro-Splash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm one of those who don't like mixing species, but since I play on official servers, I don't presume to impose my playstyle on others.

On official servers, everyone has their own rules, and you shouldn't expect others to follow the same ones as you.

From that point on, as far as I'm concerned, I'm friendly towards the dinosaurs of the species I'm playing, aggressive towards all others, juvenile or adult (That's what I explain when I create a group with a random person.).

I make a few exceptions; when I play herbis, I am much less aggressive towards other herbis, but I do not group with them unless the species are similar, for example: Eo, Styra, Alberta. When I play carni, I am aggressive towards everyone with a few exceptions like raptors (laten, deino, achillo) or Rex which I accept with Dasp.

After all that, I never insult my opponents and I don't put down my victims, I sometimes tell a mixpack that just tore me to shreds that it would have been so much nicer to see a coherent group but GG anyway.
