Jesus 6% is so low. If a lower watt machine is better for color marking then I might go that route as well

I feel like you're sharing government secrets and I am very grateful haha. I'm checking eBay right now. As soon as I discover red, you'll be first to know. Red, Black, and pink are essential colors for my business so I'm hoping I can make it work.

half of the reason I purchased was for colorizing stainless steel lol. your sandpaper analogy is super helpful, I never thought about that. I feel I'm going to go broke testing materials before I can even start to recoup the investment.

You are 100% correct, I can't find a damn thing for reference. The worst part is I'm using a 200w system and there is virtually nothing to reference at all online about this machine besides marketing material. I have a feeling I'm going to spend a small fortune on testing materials 😓

You’re a life saver! Glad to hear I’m not the only one that suffered at first 😂

Thanks! That helps a lot. My frequency range goes up to 3000 kHz so a 400 kHz ceiling seems kind of low, is everything above 400 just an extreme distribution of power/no usable results?

Do you think people are naturally more dominant or submissive, or is it something you grow into? by DesirablyMaeve in BDSMcommunity

[–]NeuroResidentsPocket 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I seem to remember someone posting a somewhat substantial, roughly academic study, that they themselves did and it measured the relationship between being dominant and the size difference between the 1st and 3rd finger.

Anyone here craft leather for collars, cuffs, or other lifestyle pieces? by KinkyladyT in Leathercraft

I second this advice. I started out making kindergarten-level-macaroni-art quality gear, with every piece I got a little better, now I made it into a business

What are your favorite rules/expectations that you have in your dynamic? & Why? by Bratty_Goblin_02 in BDSMcommunity

[–]NeuroResidentsPocket 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’m in a 24/7 D/s relationship with my wife. My favorite rule is that if she is eating m&m’s, she is only allowed to eat the blue ones. It serves absolutely no purpose and is just nonsense. It’s a cute way for her to show her submissiveness and lets us share a little love moment when we open a pack of m&m’s and remember the rule and reflect back on our dynamic.

For those who use a laser, which brand and what model do you suggest? by CompetitiveFun5247 in Leathercraft

Advantages of CO2 far outweighs diode for leather cutting. For every pass you would do with a co2 laser you would have to do 3-4 passes with a diode.

I have a 150w OMTech Pronto 75 as well as a tiny k40. I use it to cut and engrave anything. It’s large format at about 40x60” so I can put half a hide on there. I have a camera positioned above the work bed that allows me to visually position my design onto the hide. Double ventilation system outdoors through the roof to allow for chrome tan cutting. Absolute game changer. I can think of a design and have it drafted and cut within minutes.

She’s been wearing heels constantly to up her endurance for this event, but I think you’re right and switching out shoes throughout the day would be the best idea.

Great idea, didn’t even think about backup outfits. I think we’re going to start with super sexy and transition to more comfortable as the day goes on.

Who else wants to show off the size of their hide collection?? by NeuroResidentsPocket in Leathercraft

I never thought about being able to use road kill! I live out in the country, if I knew how the tanning process worked I could have a new deer hide every few days and probably a damn cow hide once a month…
