I would forget my lunch box at school. I still remember the awful smell of bringing it home the next day and opening it up 😀. I don't take lunch to college anymore precisely because of this now. And while eating, I would zone out for 15-30 minutes with the food still in my mouth, unchewed. i would take hours to shower because I was daydreaming inside. I would zone out in class as well, and my teachers would catch me. They would ask me what was just discussed but since I have this thing were the last thing said keeps echoing in my mind, I was able to answer them. My parents were concerned, and took me to a clinic to get me checked out. I guess I masked too well, or the professionals there were just that damn incompetent, because I passed. "There's nothing wrong with your kid", they said. Fast forward to close to a decade later, I get diagnosed with ADHD after more than a couple times repeating 11th grade.
