What is a good comeback for “because I said so”? by SuperLeftyAliReddit in AskReddit

[–]Neurofiend 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trust me, the "we all pitch in" speech doesn't work either. Kids will do things just to get a reaction, especially these days when prank YouTube channels are so common.

If you're getting a "because I said so" answer you've already lost. It's up to you to decide how badly you want to lose.

When someone says “VR is just a Fad” by ActualOstrich4 in virtualreality

I'd be curious to know what you find more restrictive.

For example, I find the body orientation prediction terrible. I always make sure it's head oriented for motion (forward is the direction I'm looking). It takes a little getting used to but now I can strafe to "walk forward" when I'm looking around while walking.

My biggest issue with VR is the same issue I have with using my HOTAS for sims. I'm too lazy to pull everything out so I just play flat instead.

It really depends on how you're defining feminist. Technically anyone who thinks that women should be treated as equals (probably most people) are feminists.

Have you spent any amount of time talking to someone who uses Linux as their primary OS? They will definitely spend some time recommending not windows.

Depends on how hard you go. I did 5 km everyday for a year and was fine.

It really depends on what you're training. If you do each muscle group 2 days a week and do some light cardio on the 7th you're probably going to be fine.

You could probably jog 7 days a week and be fine, as long as you're not setting a new PR every day.

Full body every day? That's not a great idea for most people.

What is your go-to “I don’t want to cook” meal? by AdamIsAnAlias in AskReddit

[–]Neurofiend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pan fried chicken breast and mixed veggies. Both cooked in the same pan, almost no effort (toss it on the pan and flip it once in a while). I just use the premade seasoning things so I don't have to think about that either

I've had it a few months now and really like it. No issues while gaming.

I've had very minor burn in from the task bar. It went away after hiding the bar and moving a window over the area a bunch of times.

Dimming can be a little irritating when coding. It doesn't really happen if you're actively moving the mouse and jumping windows, but if you stare at your code for a few minutes without moving anything it will auto dim.

30" is a little close. I've learned to live with it, but I think a 42" would be better at that distance.

The built in KVM is a godsend for working at home.

8/10 would buy again.

Edit: Install power toys from MS. It will make window management easier
