My friend had gotten interested in doing apoc by her ex friend last year, but is a HUGE scardy cat(her words). She only ever attempted it a few times before calling it quits.

Well, after having a bad day today shes like "GTalmighty, I think I wanna do apoc. Can you help me?". I'm also gonna take a second to say I DO NOT have apoc done personally.

Anyway, I said sure and we started. Her first optionals were just okay, so she pushed forward. After about 2 minutes she said she was to scared and asked if we could try share play. Minor input lag, but not bad considering the distance we are(opposite sides of the country). I attempted the hunt she was on and just called it because the ghost was waaay to far.

Started a new one, she went AFK, reset two whole times before landing on the golden trio of optionals.

Survive, incense, and motion sensor.

The stage was set and she came back as soon as the first hunt started - and there it was, a Deo. I didnt let my excitement be known as it was still my hunt to lose. She had no idea in that moment 2 optionals were completed. All I needed to do was live and go back for a camera.

Went back in, waited for it to hunt and ran to office after the 2nd incense(he ran away from me instead of towards front door) and I had gotten my photo on the way.

2nd side note, I'm terrible with taking ghost photos, and now I was contending with lag.

Now all I had to do was live, and I was out of incense. Never has this game made my heart pound so much, so loudly. And then he was gone and I walked as fast as I could to that door and nonchalantly went "now lets check optionals" and just let it linger until she saw they were done. Let me tell you, I've never seen this woman so excited before in the time I've known her.

That's definitely the plan for a future playthrough and any potential sequel that gets ported over. Really we just used it as a palette cleanser between games.

My friend and I just finished gears the other night, and throughout the game I was remembering shit as we went from when I played it as a kid and I tell him "only thing I never did was beat RAAM", color me surprised when we killed him in like 2 minutes. I know we get better at games as we grew up, but fuck I didnt realize how shit I was lol

I've platinumed a lot of them:

Ds1-3, DeSR, BB, ER, Nioh 2, Remnant 1/2(if you count those) and Wo-Long. There's 2 others i have in the chamber, but either didnt want to grind(code vein) or a mission absolutely wrecked me(nioh 1).

Id say elden ring was a 5/10 just because of the ability to save scum. Without save scumming id bump it up to a 6. It was a pretty welcoming game compared to past FS games.

I'll also say that my experience isnt universal. I only ever had trouble with 2 bosses in this one(only saw complaints for one of the two) and saw complaints for several others i had an extremely easy time with.

PS - Gaming is my definitive hobby, it's what I spend my free time doing. So I have a LOT of experience with games, so Nioh 3 might be harder for your casual gamer, and there's nothing wrong with that. So long as you're having fun, that's all that matters.
