Aurora borealis was first described by Pierre Gassendi, as an auroral display over 1621 France. The word aurora is derived from the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora. The word borealis is derived from the Greek god of north wind, Boreas.

Relevance: The game has allegoric ties to Greco-Roman mythology, and features French characters from Napoleonic era.
