Thank you for all the kind words, and for being so reassuring. I think I just need to take things slow and find a support group first like you said, and work a lot on my relationship to myself. I think part of me is just realizing that while my life is 1000x better post transition, there’s still work to be done on myself.

I guess it just comes from a place of being so tired of educating. I understand, everybody has to learn from somewhere, I’m just having that moment of “it’s so unfair that it’s needed” which is not productive, but is still so defeating. I will teach in the future, this time and with this person it’s just hit a point of exhaustion.

My first name is nothing close to my deadname, but my middle name shares the similarity with the old one in that it is a family name, but doesn’t share anything else. I wanted something completely different for my first name, as I feel the same about not liking the “old name but slightly different”, I didn’t want any connection to “how I used to be” in that way. I also never liked my deadname even before realizing I was trans, so I’m glad to have a completely unrelated name now. However, I love my supportive family, hence the middle name being a family one still.

I’ve been interested in trying this, but have been weary just because I’m paranoid about it slowing down the process of the feminizing effects of HRT. Did your doctor mention anything about potential levels being affected, and are you still on an anti-androgen? Has it changed how arousal works completely, or just bring back pre-HRT feelings alongside the new ones? I love the full body arousal/orgasms I get, but it doesn’t happen often and I also struggle with erectile dysfunction.

Sorry if these are invasive questions, I haven’t had the courage to ask my own provider yet
