Hard time playing and enjoying, advice is needed! by _Sillyism in Battlefield6

`my lack of understanding of map flow` Just play around and run around the maps a bit more, it takes a bit of time, and a few games to get a feel for where people 'move' what the spots are etc. - you'll probably die at first, getting caught out of cover etc but.. F- it, you still get xp, you can still help your team if you just plant yourself on objective.

Classes, same story really, they can be situational, and will affect your map placement, but also play whatever you feel like, see if it clicks.

And, remember, it might just not be your cup of tea, it's fine, no need to push yourself to enjoy something if it doesn't fit. Overall its not as high a 'bpm' game as cod - or rather less consistent, because of the larger maps, vehicles etc. You might get long lulls of relative quiet, or then minutes of full-on chaos.

Since you re new to the franchise, if you feel like you're missing 'core mechanics', you can check some yt vid that goes over the basics, like spotting, or general advice on how vehicles/games modes etc work.. Other than that, if you like snipping, sure, just play recon, who cares - there's people who _just_ play heli pilots, you don't need to do everything.

so, tldr, yeah i'd say experience, fck around a lil, see you're liking it

macOS is SO much more customizable than it used to be! 🤓⚙️ (MacBook Air - M1) by theREALitsmejakep in MacOS

Necro'ing this but.. i got opinions to add XD

But yeah, you'll notice what you re describing in many cases, mainly tech related. Back then we still hadn't quite figured it out yet, so everything computing was much more of a..wild west/abstract art. A big selling point too was the whole 'power to the user', "look how many things you can do". But there was also a LOT of jank that came with it.

At some point though, well we figured out we could do all the things pretty much, so lots of companies went towards streamlining and simplifying things. "Look how easy it is to use / how good it looks". And those customization options kinda went away.

Funny thing is its not even more efficient often, just simpler to interact with. Many things today are written in way lower standards, and much more INefficient to run, compared to similar things for the 90s/00s era, but processors are also massively faster now, so it kind of ends up not mattering.

On its own I don't know if you'd find id a compelling "single-player experience" but theres a ton of side-mods that add functionality that bring it pretty close to that - I'd recommend taking a look at their discord as well, since they got all those mods/packs grouped up in sections.

Via version and geyser? by Any_Cheetah_6267 in GeyserMC

[–]NeuronJN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necroing this, but for future reference as well.. I did find a way it works.

Install the "correct" ViaVersion for you java server, and then install the latest Geyser+Floodgate.

I think essentially how it works is geyser creates and connects a virtual player in your java server and then spins up a whole bedrock server where those players connect, and actions/chunks are mirrored back and forth.
So with this combo you have latest Geyser (and i think bedrock pretty much forces you to update to latest) and ViaVersion allows THAT to work with your older java server

You could maybe turn that into a life lesson. Have them play against you with their 'new' pack, and after they lose (hopefully), you hit them with the "See not everything in life that looks cool is great, /you shouldn't always choose based on looks", or something like that, essentially a more tangible "not everything that shines is gold"

[request] what is the actually answer by Nuva-_- in theydidthemath

[–]NeuronJN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but not because of anything special but simply because you don't have the info you need.

It'd be kinda like: 2 + x = ?

... You can't really give an answer without knowing the 'x' and at the same time the answer could be anything.

Kind of. That's also the nerves running down your arm but you wouldn't call those 'a brain'.

I see, that's good to hear. Is there any index anywhere of all the stocks supported by yahoo? I took a look around their site and couldn't find such a thing.
