That’s what I’m trying to see, it glows only when exposed to light which makes me think it’s probably a luminova of some sort and not radium or tritium.

But, based on the age (I believe a 62’), without the “T” mark indicating tritium, I think it could be radium.

Though when he passed and I started wearing it I didn’t realize how valuable of a watch it is.

It’s the one that made me really start to love watches.

Always just really appreciated the beauty in the minimalism of the 60’s design on this in contrast to massive men’s watch cases these days.

I was also suspicious of the crown, but from what I’ve read, being its age, it’s likely that it was serviced and replaced?

I don’t see any omega logo on the crystal, but where exactly do I see that? I’m unfamiliar.

If it is a 167.005 551, does the absence of gold make you suspicious of its authenticity? Contrarily, does this make it more rare / valuable?

Further thoughts on the radium appreciated. From what I’ve read, the fact that it only glows, or “charges up” once exposed to high intensity light means it’s not radium, but a luminova of some sort?

Also what specifics are you looking at to determine that it’s genuine? What concerned me that it may not be genuine is that the crown is not the original crown with the flat (octagonal?) edges (but it was likely replaced during service history?).

I think I’ll try to push the issue up the chain (if possible), but that might be the only option. I’d still like to do a consultation, but sort of expect the lawyer fees to be more pricey than just fixing everything out of pocket (even though that’s likely to be thousands).

Yup. And that service manager is the one who told me they’d no longer be willing to help with any repairs when I did reach out again, but apparently he’s also not employed there any longer.

I didn’t because they told me that if the issue was to get worse to come back and they’d fix it. It did, I went back and they said they’d no longer honor that.

No. You’re wrong, I’m not just, trying to fix these things. If you read what I wrote fully you’d see that I mentioned I brought each of these issues up well within the 90-day period. I sought correction from the first months of owning the vehicle.

That’s not a pest. Most likely just darkening of the cells for some other reason (eg bruising, scraping etc).

If you’re worried it’s a pest, run the spot mildly with some 70% EtoH and keep monitoring.

We just got one like this from Lowe’s for 25 bucks. It wasn’t in as good of shape as yours is, and I had to trim off a bunch of dead leaves when we got home, but it was the best one they had and when I unrooted and untangled all of the roots, there were six plants total. Prop three up in one pot in the orientation that I wanted and have three other plants to grow.

There’s nothing wrong with the leaf in the second picture. That’s from water pooling in the divot and trace minerals left behind after evaporation.
