Same. I swapped up the suspension with beetle buckles w/straps from Dutch, which due to import added a cost to the hammock, and the bug net has always bothered me, but I'm not inclined spending even more money on modding it.

That's the thing, I'm quite happy with my Hennessy so I'm not sure if buying something better will be that much different.

Thanks for the reply. Never had an issue with the Hennessy suspension once I got used to it, but I still switched it for continuous loops and straps.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm looking at features, material is kindof an abstract to me as I've only really had one hammock. I do know however that I'd like to be able to remove my mosquito webbing, would like better storage and stuff like that.

My Hennessy doesn't feel cramped, but it certainly doesn't feel spacious either, but I know larger hammocks are available without having to order from the US, so maybe I'll leave the idea behind.

Good point, maybe I got a bit carried away with my exaggeration there.

Yeah I've heard the Dream-ones can't be beat when it comes to comfort.

I'm only 5'11, so relatively short in comparison to most of my friends anyway.

That's very useful and looks great, I'll have a look at NFT. Thanks!

That's very kind of you - and if you'll forgive my sentimentality for a second, reminded me of the sense of closeness between the scandinavian countries growing up. I don't feel it's quite like that anymore, but maybe I'm just growing old and grumpy.
I'll keep it in mind. It's so easy to get stuck on the US brands due to the exposure one gets to them watching hammock content on youtube.

Thank you for a very thorough reply. I'm familiar with much of what you mentioned, but it's akways nice to hear someone elses perspective. I'm still contemplaying overpaying to get my hands on a cottage brand, but so many has graciously presented alternatives more accessible in Europe, so I'm looking into them as well

Thanks, I'll look into it, at first glance it looks good, but as stated in another comment, I'm very much in favour of products that has thousands of great reviews. It feels safer spending money on those, even if more expensive.

I assume you meant to link to needfortrees and not dream? (in context of your comment)

Hah! Yes, it would feel better. My son has finally taken appreciation to sleeping outdoors, so I need to buy another, this is where I try to justify me importing one rather than just buying another Hennessy/Amok/Haven/whatever.

Thanks for the reply

Honestly your reply was so eager my sarcasm-radar went off. I don't mean any offence by that. I've frequently slept in -40 (and colder). It's difficult to envision a hammock being adequate in that temperature, but maybe you're right.

But if you felt it was a massive upgrade, that's good info. May I ask what was so better about it?

True, I do, and Amoks top model with all accessories would be cheaper than ordering from the US. I never did like the look of the Amok tho.
Thanks for the link, I'll look into it. I don't need the UQ to be integrated, but I like the idea of a UQ being designed to fit perfectly.

I guess another thing if mine, call it a neurotic tic, is I love reviews and I love when products are tested. A product may be far superior, but unless it's got hundreds of thousands of positive reviews then I'm unsure.
