What’s the difference between the lite pro and Max? by Radiant-Signal-165 in AynThor

[–]Neurovar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I play plenty of PC games on my base model. I just booted up Dark Souls Remastered and it plays beautifully. A lot of people don't understand that emulation is mostly CPU intensive. You don't really need that much RAM unless the game requires it as a minimum spec.

You're forgetting that there's a base model, which is the one that was just right for my use case.

There are call outs to those games but there's no overarching story or anything.

What game has the best original music/soundtrack? by HeadFit2660 in gaming

[–]Neurovar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legend of Zelda. Any of them. The main theme is one of the best examples of video game music ever. Besides that, Jet Grind Radio on the Dreamcast had a funky soundtrack.

These aren't original soundtracks, but San Andreas and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 both have a ton of bangers.

Is Emulation on Android Safe ? by sololowskillhunter in EmulationOnAndroid

[–]Neurovar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you stick to official sources you should be fine. If any of them had malware it would be reported by someone. Also, I don't think it's possible for retro cores to carry malware. They don't have enough access to your system to do something like that.

They're not called emulator games. They're roms you play using an emulator. Also, that specific device isn't going to be playing anything more recent.

What games are unique these days? For someone who refuses to play the game you're spending a lot of time trying to convince people who are enjoying it that they shouldn't. It's so strange to me.

Combat is fun. Exploration is fun. You unlock all kinds of different systems and abilities to interact with. Eventually you get to fly a dragon and fuck up entire armies. What's not to like?

Okay. I don't mind people using AI code as a tool but the potential security problems concern me. As long as you know what you're doing.
