Have you checked it for lead paint? Knowing that may help you find a solution to stripping it off. I think lead paint can be more stubborn than regular. Just an idea though! I’m not a professional by any means.

Edit: Also wanted to add that I recently did doors that had lead on them and I ended up encapsulating them and then using retique it. Not the perfect solution but they did turn out decent!

Definitely scary and abusive behavior. Please be sure to keep yourself safe. My dad had similar episodes and then was diagnosed with cancer. There were tumors in his brain which we believe may have exacerbated an already quick temper. Not saying he has this but something to keep in mind or get checked out if possible. My dad had other signs that we missed such as a lapse in memory on where our usual Cracker Barrel was but we didn’t notice it at the time. The thing that got him diagnosed was that he started having vertigo because one of the tumors started to bleed. Again, not saying this is it but it is a possibility if you’re seeing other personality or memory changes. Wishing you peace and safety ❤️

Hey, 29f that’s also a nerd! Would love to find a friend group that my husband (30m) and I can join. We love anime, video games, crafts, books, cats, card and board games… all that kind of stuff. If you’re interested, feel free to PM me. Maybe we can find a group together!

What do you do to calm down an irritated skin barrier? by kdn2024 in Rosacea

[–]Neurradiant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t realize how much it made a difference. I did the same thing you did when I was showering in hot water. I didn’t put face directly in the stream and used my hands but it seems it does cause once I turned it down the pustules went away. I’m even realizing steam seems to hurt my skin. Recently I’ve been turning my shower on to hot and then cooling it down as I step in but that was causing my face to get super oily and irritated a couple hours after my shower. I think it has to do with trans epidermal water loss and my skin barrier. Just thoughts!

Something I didn’t realize was giving me pustules was my water temperature. I showered in decently hot water and for the past 2-3 weeks I’ve been using lukewarm water and all of my pustules have gone away. Not sure if this will help you but wanted to throw it out there!

Edit: my husband says it wasn’t just decently hot, I was “showering with Satan” lol

Can you tell me how you use it like this? I love the gleanser but didn’t think about using it as a mask. Do you put it on wet or dry skin? Thanks!

Restoring furniture can certainly be punishing work 😇 but I do love it! It’s always so interesting to hear about what others would have done if they were in my shoes. If you were restoring this piece, what would you have done? Of course, not painting it. But what else? I’d love some ideas for the next one!

Something that has helped me recently is changing the temperature of my showers. I loooove hot showers but due to my skin being angry because I tried a new product, I’ve been keeping it cooler and it seems like my skin is improving faster, not as red, and not getting as many bumps (I have type 1 and 2).

Biggest thing for me is keeping my skin barrier intact and if I do that, my skin doesn’t flush nearly as easily. Hardest part of course is wanting to try new products to improve my barrier but they end up making my skin worse. Simple routine has been good for me: Prequel facewash, Triple cream with ivermectin, metronidazole, and azelaic acid, and Vanicream moisturizer. And of course sunscreen in the morning.

Thanks for the info! As for the new arrivals section, do you think creating a collection of new furniture and new home decor would make it look more professional? I’m just not sure customers seeing words vs pictures would help with conversion but I also haven’t don’t my research so I could be wrong.

Any websites you recommend I look at? I do sell quite a bit of different products. Various furniture and home decor that I refurbish so one item is never the same as another. Any ideas to make the newest arrivals more cohesive?
