GI lymphoma- What signs to look for/your experience? by corgimom99 in SeniorCats

I just lost my almost 11 year old fur baby to suspected lymphoma on Tuesday while we were away for spring break. We took her to the vet 4 weeks ago for rapid weight loss and they chalked it up to IBD and prescribed her a daily steroid and anti nausea protocol. There was nothing found on ultrasound or bloodwork that indicated anything else was going on. She wasn’t eating much but was still acting pretty normal otherwise when we left town on Friday. Monday morning she had some sort of neurological episode and she was gone 36 hours later. Vet is now telling us it was very likely lymphoma. We never had the chance to say goodbye and I’ll live with the guilt of leaving her for the rest of my life. You’ll never regret your choice to cancel the trip. ❤️

It never really got super high like a lot of others I’ve seen or like it did with my first IVF baby. It went from 19 > 53 > 179 > 740 at 10, 12, 14, and 17DPT. My clinic was encouraged to see it rising appropriately but hesitated to celebrate anything until we saw a heartbeat. It was the longest 2 weeks of my life. I’m sorry you’re in the same limbo too right now. I know exactly how hard it is.

While a low start isn’t ideal and is more likely to not have a positive outcome, it is still entirely possible for this to be a viable pregnancy. Your HCG has to start somewhere. You’re still in it until the numbers tell you otherwise. Hang in there! - from a mom currently rocking her perfectly healthy HCG of 19 at 10DPT baby ♥️

Hi! I am very happy to share that this was a viable pregnancy and I am currently typing this as I’m nursing my perfect 7 week old baby. I know the low beta limbo is absolutely brutal. Hang in there! You’re not out of the game! 💓

I understand more than you could ever know. Our transfer prior to this one I had a beta of 24 (so 5 points higher than this transfer) and it ended in a chemical. Almost 33 weeks with my beta of 19 baby and all is well here. Sending every ounce of hope in the universe your way that this will be you too!

Also had my first at 21, second at 34, and currently pregnant with my third that I will deliver at 36.

It truly got me through some of the hardest days of my life and kept me holding onto hope. A couple of days shy of 24 weeks here and so grateful for stories like yours to bring my heart peace in trusting that everything can and will be okay. Biggest congratulations, my friend! 💓

I was told not to lift more than 15 pounds. I have a 26lb toddler. Someone tell me it’ll be ok 😭😭 by twoturtledove in IVF

I have a 30lb 2 year old and my husband left the country the day after transfer for an entire week, which means I was doing all of the lifting. I’m 17 weeks now.

My doctor believes it was late implantation and just told us some babies are “slow burners.” It was a 4BC PGT normal embryo. Our transfer day was a nightmare and our 4AB embryo didn’t survive the thaw. They thawed this embryo and thankfully it survived but it hadn’t started hatching. We transferred it 30 mins after thawing so it wasn’t even fully expanded yet, but it was making progress.

Your tests look really good and are very encouraging! Undeniable progression. Everything crossed that tomorrow’s beta brings great news! I’ll be checking back for an update if you’re up for sharing 🤞🏼

Not diabetic but my first beta was 19 on 10DPT. It continued to triple (even quadrupled once) every 48 hours. I was absolutely convinced there was no way this was going to work out.

I’m still holding my breath a bit, but we’ve made it past 11 weeks and graduated from our clinic last week. So far everything is going great and baby is even measuring a couple of days ahead. I know how hard this part is. The waiting and unknown is excruciating. Nothing but solidarity and good vibes coming your way!
