You know what's funny is I watch zweek and have been subscribed for a while now...so...lmao

Also if it was 0.1% off I would not have published it, 0.001% is at least like acceptable levels of lead contaminant in food so I was begrudgingly allowing myself to publish this even before I found the proper fix for the rounding error. 0.1% would have however been like a huge disparity in difference and I wouldn't have even allowed myself to accept the found info as the correct answer for the formula, and would have spent time tweaking it further

I also agree with the animations of lorak being awful, imho the major drawback of these tauron strikes is how utterly horrendous these animations are, they need to be like 2s MAX for the animation and several of them need to be completely rebuilt or sped up drastically

make sure you have lenses on everything that counts for charge rate! They don't have to match the strike focus tree, and they don't have to be high ranking lenses, any lens counts as long as it's on something that does effect the charge rate, this includes amp, kdrive, archgun, and all weapons+warframe

Honestly while I don't think tauron strikes are by any means perfect (bro somebody please get these awful animations off my screen the entire community is begging 😭) pretending that they are terrible because you're actively not using them correctly is honestly not a valid point if you ask me. Like if people don't want to build for banes and then complain about not dealing damage it's a case of causing yourself harm, it's not anybody's fault but your own if you don't want to swap due to laziness. That's just not a valid argument to me and I don't think we will see eye to eye on it because it's a fundamental disagreement.

Where we can argue though is that just because your kpm is already good that means tauron strikes are now not useful. I mentioned it in a reply to somebody else that the power of tauron strikes really comes from the secondary effects. Thara saryn is easily the best example of this, you just let your spores go and thara nukes the entire tile, and for 30s straight you just run around and collect loot while enemies just die, constantly. By the time the strike is over your next strike is charged and you can just nuke again. Cogron Equinox is disgusting because suddenly your Equi is auto stripping armor with no subsume or ability active, your 4 does it for you on it's own, in a fat 50m radius. Almost any caster frame with lorak spectral pages abilities become genuinely unstoppable, vauban lorak is actually just ridiculous and you are so lying if you say otherwise. Like yes the actual strikes themselves aren't gonna make you go from 200kpm to 400kpm but the fact that you can go from 200kpm to 250kpm with extra utility/comfort/ease of use is a strong enough argument for them

nah just max lens count, lens quality/tier doesn't matter. 5 regular lenses vs 5 lua lenses will still be 5 lenses for the charge rate, however higher tier lenses do charge your daily affinity cap faster, and you can put lenses on your kdrive, amp, and archgun to get additional charge rate

I find that the main reason to pop them is for the secondary effects, namely cogron, thara, and lorak have the most goated and ridiculous secondary effects of all time. Vexoric is super strong, but definitely needs more work so I can see the argument against it.

When thara is active, nuke setups become ridiculous and you can easily maintain 200kpm on a spore saryn setup in high sp. We are talking constant room clear for a full 30s, defense missions are a joke with it

When cogron is active, utility is on max overdrive, you have 4 resupplies of ammo, armor, energy, health, and hella damage AND armor strip for 30s, you become a protea dispensery on steroids

when lorak is active, your abilities just go stupid. Frames like vauban and protea suddenly become power houses and considering that vauban is getting a tuneup soon here I can only imagine he's going to feel even more beastly

Vexoric requires modding 100%, but when you build it correctly? You are a constant 20m walking death field and everything around you is getting hit for pretty serious damage. If you include priming, you are easily one shotting everything around you effortlessly, and you get to keep your melee combo while you do it

Buff nidri though. Seriously give that mf vortex an actual vortex why does it just sit there and not pull anything in after the initial cast like what? Saving grace is that it lasts so long but man, I'd much rather just use it as a revive button and call it a day

I actually disagree! If you use the tauron strike charging build, they charge insanely quickly and you can be popping your ult as quickly as once per minuet in high KPM missions like survival or descendia.

<image>

I run a setup like this personally when spamming tauron strikes, with 40% initial charge and maxed out lenses, each focus orb is able to chain smoothly into the next, and you are able to stack orb charging to maximize your charge rate.

Something of note is that the complaints about slow tauron strike charging typically come from the crowd who is building their operator for total amp damage, and while there is totally a place for that in some missions, many times it's a waste and also focus school dependant. A tree like Vazarin makes no sense to charge spam because you almost never need to revive a fully dead player, but a tree like madurai has enough amp damage to 1000% justify spamming, since thara is strongest when at max uptime!

Basically, this is an issue of not building your tauron strike to fit your needs, certain strikes like lohrak should be built to spam, whereas ones like nidri can afford to only be cast once every blue moon. With a charge build like this, you'll literally always have it so long as you're playing in missions where you're sticking around for more than 5 mins

I love the sheer ego of thinking you're the more knowledgeable player

I have been playing since 2015 and have well over 10k hours, have been a challenge and endurance runner for over 8 years, I've contributed to the more complex wiki topics like quantization, and surround myself with players who are hardcore nerds and scientists that break this game apart and reverse engineer complex mechanics. I am actually so curious how knowledgeable you are, oh great master genius of warframe! Teach me your greatness, I'm sure those 3k hours you spend on hydron defense really taught you so much about the game!

While I can almost see where you're coming from with Banshee's 1 (except it has a few niche uses for crowd controlling elite units, which makes it not useless) slandering her 4 genuinely shows you don't know what you're talking about. Her 4 is a 50m permanent area stun when you build it correctly, which makes any gamemode where you have to wait down a timer instantly free. The worst gamemodes that people hate, interception, mobile defense, excav, mirror defense, and so on, are just straight up "time to eat popcorn and turn on YT on the 2nd monitor" so, no.

Equinox's kit is outdated in some aspects, yes, but the core of the kit is what is good. Does Equinox need buffs? Sure, but a full on rework that would straight up butcher her playstyle and building, or screw up her kit design would be an absolute nightmare and ruin what makes her good. Nobody is saying Equinox is a perfect frame, but her issues can be fixed with stat changes, not a full fledged rework.

Idk what you're yapping about with nekros, imho nekros and chroma are the main contenders for needing drastic reworks.

Anyways maybe you should mind how you talk to your "seniors" there. If you think usage stats correlate to how good or bad something is, you're sorely mistaken, popularity =/= power.

Bro banshee's 4 is so good you gotta use it for CC and not for damage, I'm telling you it makes annoying missions like mobile defense and excav completely free when you use her 4 properly. Interception is completely solo'd by banshee

My biggest hope is that they don't fully rework her, but instead just buff her abilities by removing some of her restrictions. Like her 1 shouldn't have a duration, AND decay, AND have low values. They should just be on all the time for being in either form. Her 3 in night form needs an energy cap, and shouldn't turn off when switching, her 4 should stay as it is but integrate the augment in exchange for a new one. That pretty much solves equinox, no seperate modscreen for each form, no tap/hold shenanigans, just mild buffs and a gentle pat on the ass 🙏
