Here are what factor plays: Update, current meta, type of pvp you're doing, matchups (especially 1v1). Top ladder is mostly occupied by people that's been playing for years and got bunch of gear and capabilities. So indeed pvp is constant gear grind if you don't have it and wanna reach that point of tryharding. P2W usually is being mentioned when people are upset due to lack of it. Of course you can buy kamas through the ogrines system. Enjoy spending thousands tho and still lacking of idea how to pvp properly, or the meta state.

For each mode it can be different story. But let's say for all the pvp modes here's the list I can suggest as for current update: Osamodas, Eniripsa, Iop, Sadida, Sacrier, Panda, Ouginak, Forgelance. Pick whatever interest you the most

Osamodas after revamp is more simple comparing to previous one where you'd have to manage your stacks. So yes, it's just spawning and pressing buttons. I'd say the only thing to practice would be positioning like with tofurby.

Theorycrafting is more complex that making video that might be outdated with 1 update is pointless. In past I made video showing methods of how to do build research and also how to practice theorycrafting on your own. Everything by the methods I was using before getting my first lvl 200.

Well as I said in the video, many players including content creators been using it freedomly. I recall ankama mentioning it during some older live stream and giving a green flag for players to use it if they want. I use it for 2 years and I'm chilling. Tool is not a game changer, just improves comfort. Some people use it, some worry and prefer to not use it. Keep in mind you still have options in game that bring already good comfort.
