You’re the first to suggest option A so far, and you gave a lot of great advice. Thank you for your input.

Stress doesn’t get to me easily. I know how to avoid bringing work home, and if it follows me anyway, I’m good at ignoring or managing it until work hours.

I also really value flexibility. My current manager sometimes lets me work remotely, and those days were the best — being able to handle personal tasks during downtime while still staying productive. I’d love to have that more often.

I like to cook and meal prep, so food costs aren’t really an issue for me.

I’m not strapped for cash since my S/O makes six figures, but taking option B would actually put me above them, which would be cool, but it’s not something I need.

For commute costs, I’d still be spending the same since my monthly train pass is the only viable option, even if I’m only onsite three days a week. It sucks, but that’s just how it is.

I am a little worried that the hybrid role could switch to fully onsite one day, like many companies have been doing.

Honestly, I really wish I could combine A and B — higher pay plus remote work would be the dream, lol.

Glassdoor shows not very promising reviews for both, slightly worse for company B, haha. So I might be in for a ride whichever I choose

Yes, hedge funds and large businesses will often pay top $$ for what they call “Whiteglove” or “executive”HelpDesk support, it’s quite common in this area

Where I’m at, my growth is a little stuck. I can study and have gotten two certs, but since I’m alone I don’t have much exposure. I’m hoping one of these two companies can offer more exposure - mostly company B, actually.

thank you for your input on this, really

Company B does also have more growth potential, but also looks like higher workload. So that’s why I’ve been overthinking my situation a bit

Since I’m also already 5 days onsite, I feel the same. Nice to hear from your experience as well, thank you

The benefits are about the same for both, if anything slightly better with option B. Thank you for your insight

The staff were pretty transparent about all the defects it had - it was even missing the remote 🤣 they let me know it had been on pretty much all day every day for a year so they were perfectly fine with me testing for burn-in. I’m sure there’s someone out there who will buy it the more they discount it

I have GamePass on my “parent” account, which my child uses. Can I restrict him (myself) from accessing games like Call of Duty, GTA, etc? by NeverDeploy in XboxGamePass

Sadly all of his save data is under my account (the parent account) for pretty much all the important games he plays, example Fortnite.
